I don't know what's going on in the North Easton Post Office but for the past 15 years I have lived at the same address on Parker Terrace and for the past 3 years the wonderful gentleman named Vinnie who delivers here has been more than kind and understanding of my situation. I am a 2nd floor, DISABLED, tenant and when I requested that my mail be picked up and delivered to my apt. door Vinnie was only to happy to oblige. Suddenly in the past two weeks the world has come to an end!!!! Where is Wonderful Vinnie? Whoever is attempting to deliver mail here has failed miserably!!! Last week on Thursday I placed mail outside of my apt. at the door, as always, it included bills that needed to be paid by a certain date....they sat there from Thursday until yesterday(Tuesday, 04/14) !! I wrote a note to whoever this individual is who pretends to be a mail carrier letting him/her know my situation and would they please do as Vinnie has done. It took me 15 mins. to get down the stairs to place the bills and note on top of the mailboxes.....then I had to CRAWL back up the stairs on my HANDS AND KNEES!!! and at the landing I was so out of breath and suffering from so much leg and back pain that I had to sit on the bottom step of the next part of the stairs!! It took over 25 mins to get back up. Yesterday, my mail was brought upstairs and it was a lot....several days worth. No one had bothered to check and find out why my mailbox was full....I could have been hurt or dead and this person never bothered to check.....something Vinnie would never have let happen.
Now, today......no mail AGAIN! Have some to go out and I'm sure I probably received some. At some point around 1:20p.m. or so I went into the kitchen to make lunch ( I get about with the assistance of a rollator) and to my surprise what did I see out my window but THREE (3),.,,,COUNT THEM!!!!! THREE (3) MAIL TRUCKS OVER AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER!!!!! What is going on!!!!
I have called the post office and it rings and rings with no one picking up after 25 rings (I counted them).
THIS IS ALL TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!! I NEVER HEARD ANYONE ENTER THE BUILDING AND OPEN/CLOSE THE MAILBOXES, AND I ALWAYS DO HEAR THEM.....SO, WHERE IS THE MAIL????????
On the 3rd of every month I pay my bills when my S/S check is deposited and I can always count on Vinnie to pick up all of the envelopes on that date. I cannot get up and down the stairs w/out assistance and I don't have anyone here to put my mail downstairs......so basically, I'M SCREWED WITH NO KISSES!!!!!!!!!!
Vinnie would be appalled!!!!!!!!
