I had a mail box since 1987 at the post office on Loyola avenue in New Orleans they closed my mail box with out notice . I spoke to a supervisor on duty she told me the notices are courtesy .
What a shame the same post office I stood up from closing has let me down. Now I understand the republican better.
We are a business located on Chartres St. and at least once a week, the mailman does NOT pick up our mail. I have called the phone number and never get an answer. I have sent emails without a response. What do we have to do, to get our mail pickup?
My address is 2100. Two Priority Mail packages were left on my back porch just now. Only problem is they were addressed to a person at 2103. I called the Loyola post office at the number above...and all I got was a phone ringing...15 minutes. So I called the 1-800 number and after 10 minutes got a very nice lady who did whatever to get that delivery person to come back and take the packages to the correct address. Now...if he pulled up in front of the house...he had to walk down the side of the building to get to the back porch. If he had walked across the street to the correct address...it would have been less distance. Go figure.
This is the sorriest USPS I have ever in my life had to deal with. I am a big Ebay seller and I use Priority and USPS First Class mostly. I have found that when I ship Priority from this Post office that it goes slower. For instance, my package (USPS Priority) hit the main New Orleans Post office Thursday afternoon, Priority is 2 days. My package never even left the fraking post office till Monday mid-day, now that's not only stupidity but it's robbery. So, if I can I ship First Class. The less these morons have to deal with the package the better off you are. Stop shipping Priority out of New Orleans, it rarely happens. I am furious and now understand why they want to close this one. Then we have another one in the Upper Ninth that closes at 3:00 p.m.....now come on, this is a federal building morons! Best go back to pidgeons in this city or stick with UPS and FedEX, because USPS is broke!
