November 2019: They've put my mail in the wrong mailbox 4 seperate times in the last 2 months, and this most recent was a bday present. They delivered it to the wrong address, and when the postmaster called me about it he started off acting like I was lying or like I just didn't actually look for it. Then he starts reading off random addresses, and when I asked him "WTF ADDRESSES ARE THOSE?" He finally asked me "What's your address?" And realized they screwed up and says "I need to do research so I'll call you right back." THEN once he gets the carrier who delivered it wrong to go back. She gets my stuff, but the people she gave it to had already opened it, and thrown away the packaging. Instead of telling me what I can do to file a report against the theives who were going to keep my stuff (because that is mail theft and it's a felony). She gave me their address and said "They're about 3 or 4 houses that way... And the dude that answered looked half burnt." Wow.... That's all you can say about that. They only have 1 decent mail carrier, and she drives the little red Toyota.
*UPDATE* 6 months later, they still can’t get it together. In fact, I believe it’s worse. Now we have a package that has bounced back and forth from Lafayette to BR and when we called to find out what’s going on, they said our tracking number was for a post office bin (large container used to transport numerous packages for multiple addresses), and they had no info for our package. But no one can explain how the hell Ebay would have access to the bin numbers of the post office? Here we are, this package has been to Lafayette and back to Baton Rouge twice and it is starting to feel like we will never receive this package. I wish I could rate this with negative stars, because they don’t deserve the 1 I gave them.
I keep getting missed delivery notices mostly on Saturdays I am home expecting deliver postal worker does not come to my door just put the notices in my mail box.
To day postal worker left a letter tide to my gate door and left a notes in my mail box to pick up a letter at Duson,LA post office two car were in my drive way.
I am very upset about this and tired of driving to the Duson ,LA post office wasting my gas & time.
I would like a copy of post office policy of when postal worker are to leve a notice even if I am home at the time of delivery.
I try to avoid the Duson ,La post office they have mess up my mail shipment most times I do go there.
I will be sending a copy of this letter to Post Master General if I do not get a response and a copy of the policy.
