When placing a quick call into the Post Office to work through two situations on which I needed help, the postal worker was extremely helpful and pleasant. Situations handled and guidance on what I needed to do was furnished. He checked to see if he could help in any other way before we finished the call.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. The old guy working here is completely rude to customers. You can tell he hates his job and he passes that down to the customers. They would not help me with my issue. The seems more interested in their 1 hour lunch break ( which they close down the office for) then resolving my problem. I dont see how hard it is to look up a tracking receipt number but neither the rude man or the lazy women clerk would even attempt. Simply say we cant help you and made me feel completely stupid for even asking them for help. I would drive 20 mins away instead of visiting this office full of rude employees who dont care about the customers.

I went to the New Baden location to retrieve mail for my place of employment while we are closed for the Christmas holiday. We had previously informed the postal workers that we are closed and would be sending an employee to pick up the mail from the post office. We have never been required to leave a form of authorization allowing employee's to pick up mail in the past 4 years I have been doing this. The postal worker that is filling in ( I believe her name is Annette? but not certain) told me I needed this to be allowed to pick up the mail. I explained this has never been an issue in the past. She told me that since she is not from the area and is just filling in because the post master that is normally here is out for the next 8 weeks that she is requiring it. I had my boss call the post office to confirm that I was in deed his employee and TRIED to show her my form of ID but she DID NOT even bother to look at it. She was sure to let my boss know that only reason that I was getting the mail was because I was "acting irritated". She did not even bother to check the ID that I presented. She wasted my time, my employers time and her own time. She was very rude.
