Hello, I would like to know how you get Schmelzer out of Moore, I have my mail forwarded and today I get some persons mail from Bloomington, Il. This should be impossible this isn't the first time this has happened it makes me wonder if my mail is being given to someone else. Stop forwarding mail that doesnt belong to Moore, Smith, or Phelps. I dont have the forwarding addresses for all these people. I dont know what kind of training is done but truly there is lack of training when it comes to mail sorting. In the wake of tax time it is not good practice to forward wrong mail to people. Our mail service has declined rapidly in the last three years in Danville. I think it is time for a new postmaster. My address is 1201 N Grant, Danville, Il. I come to Florida in October and return to Danville in May. I have cameras on my house and everyday I see the nail person leave mail in my box what goid does it do to have forwarded ? I pay for forwarding and of course sometimes never receive my mail it goes in box in Danville. Please straighten out that post office. I'm sure I am not the only person with complaints or maybe so . People may be afraid if complaining I assure you I worked in a major insurance company and would never been alliwed to do what is allowed from your Post Office. Pkease fix the problem ASAP Delayna Moore

I would like to put a positive note here. I just visited the post office and had the most helpful, enthusiastic clerk I have ever had help me. She was a delight. I might add, that even though my mail sometimes arrives late to my home, I can understand weather conditions, etc. I really have no problem with my home delivery, either.

Last week 5 pieces of mail were in my mailbox from residents on the next block. Saturday, 10/01/22, 15 pieces of mail from up and down both blocks and for 8 different residents were all stuffed in my mailbox. This lack of competent mail delivery explains why I do not receive mail for days and why my neighbor and I have to continually take mail to each others homes. The postal rates are continuing to rise for inept mail delivery. This is unacceptable and a direct contradiction to the postal service motto.

Our mail should be delivered down to the pro shop. On Wednesday, March 16 it was left in the newpaper boxes up at the clubhouse.

I have not received mail for 10 days. My brother passed away in December from COVID and I am expecting important documents for processing for his estate, as well as life insurance to be used to pay his funeral. My drive and sidewalk is cleared of snow. I have received packages, but why am I not receiving regular mail? This is unexceptable!

I mailed a priority package to my 86 year old parents. Tracking said it was delivered tonight at 7:12 P.M. Delivery was their front porch. I called them I sent them out to get it. They could not find it. Being 86 years old looking for a package in the dark, I question them, and told them to get a light and look. NO PACKAGE WAS FOUND. Approx. 9 PM a neighbor knocks on their door with the package. It was delivered to the wrong address. 86 years old looking for a package that was not there. LETS SEE WHAT COULD HAVE GONE WRONG, Their name is on the mail box, their address is also on the mail box. Mybe the post office needs to hire people who can read and follow instructions.

I've been waiting for a delivery from AMAZON since the first delivery failed on friday 10/8. I tried repeatedly to call the office in Danville - the first 2 times, a woman picked up the phone and IMMEDIATELY said 'PLEASE HOLD' and left me on hold. The third time, it rang in the office over a dozen times and then WENT TO A BUSY SIGNAL. The 4th time, it rang again for over a dozen times, and went to a busy signal. You have a woman in your office who just doesn't want to be bothered by doing her job for the public. I'll be dealing with AMAZON about why they're even bothering sending anything through USPS.

today is Wednesday january 17, 8:20 pm. I live in town, my sidewalk is clear. The last mail delivery I received was Saturday the 13th. NO newspaper that I pay for daily and no mail. I see FedEx trucks, Amazon trucks, but no mail trucks. Monday was presidents day, tuesday it snowed, but is hasn't stopped any other service, just the mail. My mail regularly comes after 8:00 in the evening. This is ridiculous. do the carriers just decide to NOT deliver my mail. Last week they didn't bring the mail only to deliver it by 8 in the morning and then returned in the evening for a second delivery? Not very efficient. disgusted.

The mail carrier on my route sucks donkey tail, Instead of delivering pkgs he too busy running in and out these young girls apartments. I was waiting on a very important pkg, saw when he drove in which was well past 4pm. I have tracking on my pkg. got a text that said he attempted to delivery and did not. We have a box just for pkgs and nothing was left in there. he drove to the back and stayed for hours, came back up rushing at to put the remaining mail in the boxes. I literally watched him. By the time i made it to the mail boxes he hurry up and drove off. This is all the freaking time. Only time we get mail earlier is when he off and their is a sub. They need to replace his ass with the sub. He can get his freak on with them girls when he gets off the clock not during work hours.

This has to be one of the worst post offices in the country. I used their vacation stop "service", and they tried to give my life away. I got a notice from our tax guy that he had sent all our paperwork in a package, and being the dummy that I am, I naturally thought USPS would hold the package! Not only did they not hold the package, they delivered to the wrong address! Can you say, the easiest identity theft ever? Luck was on our side, they delivered it to a very honest person! My phone number was on the label, and they called to let me know they had it! I called this post office to find out what the heck was going on. I was told that a substitute carrier had delivered it, and that they would have the regular carrier pick it up! Here we are 10 days later, they never even tried to pick it up! lucky for me the person they delivered it to still has it, and will hold on to it until we get back! DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING THIS POST OFFICE TELLS YOU, THEY NEVER FOLLOW UP ON THEIR PROMISES!

My mail normally arrives at/after 6PM ...! RIDICULOUS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Convinced the mail person skips the street [Walnut] altogether when they feel like it... I have confirmations that packages are "Out for delivery"...and then receive nothing. - Pissed off.

All of the mail in my mailbox today was for my neighbor. All of our house numbers on this street are clearly visible. I also found soaking in a puddle a piece of mail for the house across the street. I do not believe my everyday carrier delivered this mail. I am now wondering what happened to my mail for the day. I asked my neighbor on the other side and she did not receive it only her own.

My package was never unloaded and scanned at its destination which is the Danville, IL post office. It was taken to sullivan, IL where it sits. Where's the accountabiility for grave errors such as this? This is completely unacceptable, and the person I contacted at the Danville office was completely indifferent to my situation. Hopefully it returns to Danville to be delivered in a timely manner. (doubt in time for Xmas) USPS employees thanks for nothing. What a joke!

So our mail carrier ran into our mailbox about 4 weeks ago. It may have been a sub since I never see who delivers our mail. I have tried unsuccessfully to call and talk to the postmistress nearly everyday since it happened. The phone is never answered. Obviously they really don't care. This would not happen if the carrier would deliver the mail as she passes our box rather than on the way back but I was told they couldn't cross traffic a few years ago when she came out to survey the problem when it was hit before (without damage). For those of you who know where I live, dead end road -- third house from the end -- I ask, just how much traffic do we have. We've lived here for over 39 years and only in the past few years has this either been a rule or been enforced because every carrier before this one has delivered our mail on the way down -- not back. None of the other carriers got hit on this "unbusy" road. Since they are determined to do it their way, they are leaving a rut by the mailbox, they throw the mail to the back of the box because they are on the wrong side of the vehicle so we have to get out of our vehicles to get the mail nearly all of the time and they misjudge their turn and hit our box. This is not the first time it's happened but it is the worst and it wasn't even slick or muddy. But back to my point: What about our mailbox? The wrought iron is now loose from the cement base. Who fixes that?? At one time we received the "most improved mailbox for the year" from our carrier, but I digress. What about the mailbox? Is that covered on their insurance or what? Is someone going to show up to fix it? I doubt I'll ever get a response to this but since they won't answer the phone. . . . And while we're talking mail, what happened to neither rain, nor sleet nor hail will keep the mail from being delivered. There are many days that none is delivered to our house. (I know this because I get a newspaper in the mail. If I don't get the paper, no one has delivered the mail.)

I've never had problems with my packages being delivered until I moved to Danville, IL. I'm not sure if it's my specific mail carrier or what, but I'm getting very tired of my packages being delivered late and/or to the wrong person. When I asked my mail carrier about a specific package (after calling the post office so that I already had the information), he lied to my face! I've never been unhappier with my postal service.

Do you know the return time on general delivery at the Danville il post office? I forwarded my mail from GD to my new address but a specific piece of mail I'm expecting never came but I received lots of other forwarded mail to my new address even though it was late...
