I have called every day (multiple times) for two weeks. No one will answer the phone. I went to the office one morning and stood there for about 10-15 minutes before someone walked up to the front to assist me. I was told the man I needed to talk to was out that day. The customer service rep took my number and a message. I never received a call. I have called back several times and no answer. I know times are tough right now, but I find it a bit excessive that I have had to call and go up there multiple times with nothing to show for it.

That many calls tying up the lines is a little extreme for a busy person and to prove a point.

All I can say is that Savannah is bad at a lot of things and the USPS is no different. I went in to drop a package that was already labeled and I decided to wait for the one person in front of me. The African American Lady was all talkative to the African American man that was in front of me and seemed to linger in the finalization of their exchange. Then finally they completed their conversation and the guy walked away saying goodbye and have a nice day, along with the worker saying "you do the same....have a great day" then she looked at me ever so cold and waited for me to talk. After I said that I was dropping off a package and I would like a receipt, she just stayed silent and it seem like an eternity waiting for the receipt to print, then she pulled the receipt and handed it to me not saying one word. I felt like some asshole that just came into her world and that she couldn't stand my kind. I'm just a nice white male at 54 years old and never had anything to do with the ancestors that caused all the hate. This USPS female African American worker at Montgomery and 52nd street in Savannah is hateful, cold and rude so much that it made a lasting impression on me along with the many others in Savannah for life. I sell a lot online and then have to ship, but I hate to go back there! I get this in other businesses as well, some of these women are just soooooooo rude and hateful and it is so thick you can cut it with your box knife. I'm sorry but we all live and share the community now, lose the hate already lest you always wanted it or whatever!!! I can't stand what I was born into but it was not my doing, I had no choice but to grow up and learn what the asshole hatters did before me. This is a United States Post Office, we need to get rid of the crazy hateful ones in Savannah Georgia!!!!!

Use e-bills whenever possible. USPS in Savannah is not dependable. If you rely on them to deliver your bills your services, i.e. electricity, water, gas, etc. may be cut off for nonpayment. I caught mine just in time to prevent that from happening. I am now getting all bills on-line. Also, you never know when deliveries will be made, what time or what day.

Tracking says that my package was shipped, front office of my apartment complex didn't received it. They scan USPS packages that come into the front office to ensure that residents get their packages. Called USPS so they could investigate and they told me they'd get back to me in 1-2 days. After a week of hearing nothing back, I called them to find out where my package was. They said They spoke to the carrier and he confirmed he delivered my package...but WHERE IS IT? and WHY didn't you call me to tell me that?! They told me to file a claim on USPS. Very bad customer service. Very bad experience. Very unhappy customer.

MY TAX DOCUMENTS THAT WERE SENT CERTIFIED WITH A RETURN RECEIPT WERE LOST! I CAN'T EVEN LOCATE A LIVE PERSON TO REPORT THIS MATTER. WHAT FRUSTRATION! THE QUALIFICATION TO BE HIRED BY THE POST OFFICE MUST BE UTTER INCOMPETENCE!!!!!!~

I sent my cousin it to drop off a return item worth over $500. They tried to tell her she couldn't get a confirmation of drop off because the postage was prepaid. Never heard of that carp! I drop off prepaid packages all the time and receive receipts every time.

Today my package was "misplaced" by USPS. Conserned with the disappearance of my package I called the local savannah usps office. I was "greeted" rudely by a man claiming to be a supervisor. This man was rude from beginning to end of our conversation. Questioning everything I said to the ware abouts of my very important package...
Long story short I would avoid USPS..

worst post office EVER. They never forwarded one single piece of mail after we filled out a "forward mail request" in May 2014. NOTHING... in 3 months time. Forget it if you have a package and aren't home. They won't redeliver it PERIOD. Most of the time the carrier can't even get the mail in the right boxes even though they know the route (won't walk upstairs). Forget about putting outgoing mail in your box -- they won't take it. Have stuff delivered another way if you can!!! They don't seem to care and just dead stare you in the face.... Even when a postal inspector was with the carrier, they messed up the mail right in front of them -- apparently the PI wasn't paying attention either. If you want mail in Savannah, forget about this post office... it's a nightmare, and my father worked at a Post Office his entire life, so I know it could be better.

Yeah Hi.. Our mail has come to us ripped, opened or not at all. Last year a birthday card from my mother with a gift card in it never got to me and now I have 2 pairs of shoes missing that I should have received over a year ago. WHERE. ARE. THEY??????? I understand a lot of people end up being fired for stealing.. A LOT. I hope that whoever stole my gift card NEVER has a days luck with their purchase and if someone stole my shoes, I hope you trip on them and crack some teeth.

Same old sad song again and again. They state mail was undeliverable; meanwhile several of us were sitting in the office, waiting for the delivery. After driving to the P.O. for redelivery attempt, Post Master said he would check with carrier. We stood there as the same carrier disputed his attempts of delivery - said the mailbox was locked. It surely was, but he forgot to mention the 4 foot box stands alone on a concrete elevation, has a lock for when the mail is dropped in, the internal flap and deposited mail drops down below. Then only with a key can the mail be extracted from the box. Furthermore, there is always a sign on the office door stating someone is on the outside of the building, inside the fenced area and will be right out to get any package if they just blow the horn. Pictures of all signs of above evidence were shown to the PM General, who just shook his head, with no apology or anything.

This post office is the WORST! My daughter has been down there for 2 years now and heaven forbid she ever gets the mail that we send her. When she goes to get it after a failed delivery, they tell her that they don't have it!

If you call the local number and get a busy tone, keep trying. Eventually they might pick up. I get that they are a struggling business and can't afford more than one telephone line, or call waiting, or a hold message. And I'm sure they are all overworked. I'm making up excuses for them? Have some grace, it is what it is.
Oh and don't bother calling the 1-800 number, it's a recording of useless information and then they hang up on you. Just a side note.

And you wonder why the USPS is broke. Bunch of overpaid lazy asses with NO customer service skills. If I did not sell direct mail advertising through my company, I would have no reason nor desire to associate with the BMEU whatsoever.

the worst service EVER. I had Ms. Mable "helping" me - the most unpleasant and rude lady. Was very unprofessional. I don't know why people like her have a job in customer service. She is a shame of that place.
