Steamboat Springs USPS is the worst post office in America. An illegible message was put in a postal box indicating a new procedure for postal users. It is full of x's and makes no sense. The FAX it turned off, they do not answer their phone. They are illiterate and incompetent. Retrain them or shut them down! ZERO stars!

I have read other comments and I am in the same boat. Sent package to the same address where packages have been sent in the past and were received. Not this time! The P.O. says the address doesn’t exist. Guess my grandkids don’t exist either! Package has not been shipped back and it does not show any movement friom Steamboat on tracking. I am going to contact the Office of Inspector General over the Post Office. I suspect packages are randomly being stolen. This is the second time this has happened to me. I thought the first time was just a fluke. Maybe not! There is no excuse for the poor service, failure to answer the phone, and incompetence. Totally unacceptable- the people of Steamboat Springs deserve better!

Perhaps the worst postal facility in the US.The postmaster is the most inept imbecile in existence. They never answer their phone.i sent the refinance for my po box fee over 1 month ago ,still they have not credited my account. The reason I sent a check is because my online usps account has been taken over because the postmaster and his entire staff are unfit to have jobs at a postal facility complete morons at a level that is mind boggling.Every post office at every ski town in colorado employs communist boot licking, flash fried kale chimp chomping, kombucha guzzling, soy sauce sucking klowns .

I put in a change of address 7/23/22 and as of 10/11/22 I had not received any mail forwarded. I also have a package that has not been forwarded. I called several times and of course the phone is never answered. I put in another change of address online and finally a man named Fernando called. Said the mail box (770429) was full of mail and my package was also there. He said he would forward everything including my granddaughters mail (Kennedy Mattson). Today is 10/20/22 and I have not received the mail he said he would forward. WHERE IS . IT!!! This very frustrating. My number is 303-564-4442. If I don't here from you by Monday 10/24/22 I will go higher to get some answers.

I have no complaints right now but what needs to be done in this huge situation is to call the UNITED STATES POSTMASTER GENERAL located in Washington D.C. @1-800-275-8777. Go straight to the top!!

I was actually on this site looking for a way to email the Postmaster, since my calls are never connected or she is "not in yet" and somehow never gets back to me. So I thought I would leave a review, not that it will do any good, judging by the sad and extremely frustrating reviews already here. But I guess now I don't take it personally that my mail does not get delivered. We moved here 3 years ago and year after year, have a problem getting our mail delivered. Countless packages have been returned "insufficient address"... when it is addressed EXACTLY like our carrier wants it (different by the way than the Post Office officially has it listed.) But whatever, maybe it's a power game he is playing to make us put a different address than the official postal address in order for him to deliver it. The most recent thing is that my 16-year old son earned his own money to buy a bike singlet that he really wanted. It came from an overseas shipper and actually made it all the way to the front of our cluster box, hovering right at our mail slot, at which time our carrier decided it had an "insufficient address" and sent it back. After a visit to the post office, a consultation with the postmaster, and 2 calls with the carrier, the only thing I've received is the knowledge that my son's package is now in some facility in Atlanta where "they can't be contacted. Your package will sit there for 30 days and then be returned to the seller." Sheesh!! Is there no recourse?! Apparently not. I do not know of ANY other job in which incompetence and utter unwillingness to do the job (and in fact to SABOTAGE the job) is tolerated. This is the last moment I will waste on this deplorable office.

So I placed an order on Amazon which costed $840.00, this item is something that I've been wanting to purchase for many years! So I finally pulled the plug...Needless to say I'd been tracking every single movement of this package via Amazon and USPS. I work overnights, so I was asleep when the tracking system read that Steamboat USPS tried to deliver this package to my house but was unable to complete the delivery and that they had my package at the Post Office waiting for pickup. I go to the Post Office first thing in the morning after my shift only to be told by the clerk that they had to ship my package back to the seller due to the fact that they don't deliver to my address. I was UPSET with a mixture of sadness as well as an extreme amount of frustration! The fact is that I've been receiving packages at my address for over a year and a half! So I chose to question the clerk, she got on my VERY LAST NERVE! I ended up leaving, contacting Amazon, received an immediate refund, and reordered the package, only this time from a different seller with express delivery! I went back to this Post Office the next morning to ask a different clerk what I need to do to pickup my package before they send it back. Her response drove me CRAZY! I was LIVID! My only thoughts were, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING WORKING HERE IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE ANSWERS TO THESE SEEMINGLY OBVIOUS AND SIMPLE QUESTIONS"! Anyways, I had to pause and PRAY to my Heavenly Father to grant me serenity! I had to honestly practice, acceptance, and tolerance to the utmost! So of course I had another separate package delivered this same day to my Parcel Locker via P.O. Box and my P.O. Box actually had a pink slip which said they had my package. So I took the same woman this pink slip and she ran back and retrieved the same package which I was told that they had to send back to the seller, the one I had already been refunded for...I was like what a freaking mess! I took this package home and began talking to Amazon about all of this, they ended up saying keep the item and send the 2nd one I order back for a return and that I can keep the item as well as the return! :O I was like are you serious! Amazon said yes! So all in all this Post Office actually just helped me receive "AmazON-GRACE" from my Heavenly Father with $1,700 for absolutely nothing! God knows how long I've needed/wanted this item and I honestly believe that this Post Office has actually made me go back to basic principles about my belief in God, expectations, patience, tolerance, acceptance, honesty, and all kinds of things! SO I'M AT WORK RIGHT NOW AND JUST WANTED TO SHARE THIS EXPERINCE AND GIVE THIS PLACE A 5 STAR REVIEW! ALWAYS TRY TO FIND POSITIVES IN NEGATIVE SITUATIONS! :)

The USPS here in Steamboat is an absolute joke. First off, they DO NOT answer their phone! Don't even try, they have the whole system setup for you to get so fed up, you fail. I tried the 1-800 USPS number and they have a wait time of 55 minutes. I feel helpless. I ordered 5 different packages to be delivered in Steamboat and they say my address is insufficient. That's all they say so now every package is got returned. Now, I have to pay shipping cost again for all of it and have to contact the sellers with a new address, blah, blah. You get the picture. Complete buffoons

Worst post office in the country. I don't know how many mail carriers we have to go through to get a good one. For the past few months everyone in the neighborhood has to deliver each other's mail since it ends up in the wrong house. I am still waiting on 3 packages that were "delivered" a week ago. They don't care about doing a good job, just greedy to finish their route. The carriers really suck at their jobs.

Either the published phone number----970-870-3001----for Steamboat Springs, Colorado 80477 is incorrect or they just do not answer the phone. I have tried 19 times and it just rings. Finally, I just get cut off. Try it yourself and verify.

New to Steamboat and have had one bad experience after another with the USPS in this town. Every time I walk in there it’s like I’m entering a time machine that takes me back to the days of the pony express. Where’s my package? Sorry partner, the pony express was attacked by marauding Pawnee Indians from Kansas. I’m afraid they have your, beats by Dre in ear wireless headphones. Help me lieutenant John Dunbar!!

I will no longer be shipping anything to this post office. My son relocated to SteamBoat Springs from Upstate NY and getting packages to him has been an absolute nightmare!!! I pay for priority shipping and it does absolutely nothing!!! This has happened time after time its not just an isolated incident. You would think that this is a remote island somewhere and mail was delivered by pigeons once a month. I spent $79.99 to have a package priority shipped and also paid extra for fragile care and it was supposed to be delivered Wednesday the 24th, It is now the 26th and still no package. I will no longer be using the USPS and will now be using UPS.

THE WORST... I RECIEVED A SLIP TO PICKUP A PACKAGE AT THE POST. AFTER A LONG SEARCH THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIND IT. THEY THEN SUGGESTED I SIGN AND LEAVE THE SLIP WITH THEM, AND WOULD HAVE THE MAILMAN DROP IT OFF THE NEXT DAY. WELL GUESS WHAT??? PACKAGE NEVER ARRIVED. SO WHY AM I WRITING THIS POST? THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I HAVE GONE TO THE POST BECUASE THEY SAY THEY HAVE MY PACKAGE, AND THEY NEVER FIND IT.
