This post office is terrible. they do not deliver mail. i paid $77 to priority mail two packages to my son’s address not just to the post office. They obviously are too lazy to complete the delivery so they just mark customer wants to hold the package at the post office which is a lie. then they don’t answer the phone when you call. and you wonder why they are losing business

This post office is very understaffed and the ones they have are terrible. I had a question on price difference from their website and the sloppy looking manager (stains up and down his uniform from eating and not washing it) tries to intimidate me physically with his size. Unprofessional and just a lack of customer service. I also have been calling constantly with no answer.

I have called this post office with no answer multiple times today. They apparently couldn’t find my address in the zip code I found for it online and rerouted my package. I needed this package and could not get a hold of a single person to fix the issue. I had been hung up on twice and no other resources online or in the automated phone lines are any help. Screw this PO

Posted hours show 8:30 am. I waited for over an hour. It was a huge inconvenience for my personal work and my kids as we all have responsibilities. But mail? No service, no response? Basalt colorado....

I was involved in a dispute with an Ebay vendor, regarding a lengthy shipping delay. That dispute was set aside when the vendor cited a tracking statement that this package had been "delivered (at) front door/porch, 4:01 pm September 19,2017, Basalt CO 81621". Actually, no delivery occurred; as the package was too large to fit the storage locker here, your carrier returned it to you. I am intimately acquainted with the stupidity of the the USPS; but this is uniquely inane.

They are absolutely nasty at this post office. They "lose" packages constantly. I once went in every singe day waiting for a time sensitive package that I had a delivery confirmation for and the package did not reach me for five months until a new employee found it for me. While in line at the grocery store one day, the entire line was exchanging nightmare stories about their experiences with the Basalt Post Office Employees. An "acting postmaster" even berated a pregnant lady cry one day who was asking for a package that they said didn't exist, though she showed them her delivery confirmation, she left in tears. Really, the worst.

I have owned a box at the Basalt Post Office and have never had any problems with, but... EVERY SINGLE TIME... I go to the front desk for help there is either the old man with very white hair and a middle aged women with brown hair... BOTH ARE VERY RUDE!!! All I want when I go to the front desk is an answer for my packages, and when they give me an answer they treat me and talk down to me like I know nothing and treat me like an idiot!! Today I asked the old ,man with white hair if it was possible if I could get my package that I was tracking online, the man said no, "Your talking about cyberspace, I'm talking about reality!" He was very rude!!! All I wanted is a no I'm sorry we can't do that, you should have it in your box soon... is it really that hard to say? These employees are very rude and have no respect for their costumers! I will NEVER go back to the front desk and I advise everyone else in Basalt to go to Carbondale or Glenwood, you'll get way better service and respect!!!
