We had a great experience at the Avon office. Sara was extremely helpful in helping us track down a package that the seller had made a mistake on. She even followed up with us once it was found. She and her team went above and beyond.
Just got yelled at by Paula at post office! She went off on a rant for 5 min about a courtesy hold and walked around the corner for 2 seconds .. instead of gripping she should have been doing her job and looking! Package is there signed by Ron! Don't waste your time being nice to her ... you never know what you are going to get with that lady...
Get ready for this....when tracking says your package is ready for pickup...they are referring to every other post office in the US. Tomorrow will be day 3 since it arrived at the post office and she was iffy on if I would even get it then! So now we have to add days to our delivery because they can't sort the mail in a timely manner??? This is why FedEx and every other carrier is crushing USPS and rightfully so....can they please take over this post office at least???
From here on out, I'm going to only use companies that have different shipping options...you should too!
This post office is absolutely ridiculous. I've had the same package returned to sender 5 times since November 21st, today is January 28th. Once again today, it will be returned to sender. It will be a miracle if I ever get my package. I've tried having the sender adjust the address 3 different times to the instructions given but USPS corporate but nothing will make my package stay at the Avon post office.
This postal service is a completely useless. I am going to have to get a PO box in Vail because this post office has now sent back 3 items I have had shipped to me. And has refused to help me obtain any package even before they get it. I have a tracking number for a 3 packages that will work in there system and yet they refuse. I ask why and all I get back is "because it doesnt work like that". This false statement is the very reason I will changing post offices.
Very rude employee that I dealt with. I sent a package to my son, not knowing that he needed a P.O. box for delivery. I called the very first business day after I saw on my tracking that the package could not be delivered. My son was going to pick the package up at the post office but the post office said they immediately put the package right back on the truck if it is addressed to anything other than a PO box. That is a very big waste of time and money by the government. Holding a package for a day or two at the post office for someone to pick up is much more practical and cost savings to all. Now we do not event know where the package is as there is no tracking available. A very disappointing experience particularly since we worked through the PO here in my town to send it and they should have known that Avon does not deliver to addresses other than a PO Box. It should be flagged. I will choose a different method of delivery going forward.
I have used the Avon Post Office for years. I am not one to write reviews, but I also have never seen a better employee at any job! Pauline seems to know the name of 80% of the people that come in and she is always extremely friendly and helpful. She does an exceptional job! I am shocked to read the reviews below, although I think the Avon post office may be understaffed, Pauline does an amazing job!
The employees there do not know a thing about customer service. They should practice some social skills, because they do not have obtain the common sense of courtesy. I understand it's a post office but someone needs to correct the attitude of Pauline and the other woman that works there.
There needs to be a bit of reform when it comes to FedEx and UPS shipments. Currently it will be delivered to the post office then it is checked in by the receiver- at which time the clock begins to tick on your package. You have two days to pick it up, now keep in mind that they will not have it for you to pick up until approximately one day later. This would not be an issue if I was unemployed like most of Eagle County 4 months out of the year, but I have a job and 9-5 is dead center on my schedule. Well the story continues and my packages are sent back to sender without as much as a phone call. How about we change this crap, since most of Avon requires delivery to the post office.
Pauline is probably my the most frigid biotch I've ever met. It wouldn't surprise me if she wrote the comment about herself because there's no way I've ever seen her be helpful nor try to be friendly. She doesn't care about the people who come in or if she is doing her job correctly. Quite possibly the worst post office in the states. Please fire her and the post office would be the best, she is the ONLY problem with the post office.
Very poor customer service. Employees never answer the phone. Tracking will say package is delivered but it is prob not. No wonder postal serv never makes a profit with post offices operating like Avons, has to be worst in nation!
Paulinne is a gem! Every time I go in there, I am amazed. She helps 3 or 4 people (with a smile) in the times it takes everyone else to handle one. I literally have walked in there and once I see she is not working, drive away and come back another day.
