I'm honestly flabberghast by how badly run this post office is. I've waited the 45 minutes for 3 people to be helped and the staff are very friendly, and try to be as helpful as they can, but unfortunately, I don't have time to wait 45 minutes to find out why my packages are indicated as delivered, even though they are not. I recently ordered something from amazon. It indicated delivered on their website and when I went to the post office. The post-office told me that doesn't mean it's actually been delivered and to wait a day or so. So I waited 3 days and then called amazon and they sent a replacement. Same thing again. Indicates delivered, not delivered. Eventually, I just got a refund from Amazon. Now yesterday, I got a notice from Newegg that a package had been delivered, and it hasn't. When you dig deeper it says that it was picked up at the post office. I didn't do that... I'm thinking a higher level post-master needs to be brought in to clean up the operations of this location. Items shouldn't indicate delivered if they are not. Now I'm wondering where all these Items I should have received are. Are they just taking up space in a junk-pile or truck somewhere?

I am very disappointed. I am a retired OIC and since I have been here in Aspen, CO, my carrier scans my packages(large and small) before he evens leaves the PO to deliver. I know this is a big no no and I will continue to complain! I receive text in am saying unable to deliver and late afternoon I receive the "pink" slip...not right...not to mention when my husband tried to talk to him he was rude! The postmaster is very good tho, I wish he could straighten our carrier out!

I have witnessed too many people giving the US Postal employees a difficult time in the Snowmass Village Post Office. I want you all to recognize these postal employees are doing the job of what used to take 4 full time employees which used to staff the Snowmass Village Post Office. The times have changed as we all know... These great folks now have to deal with much more than just the normal mail we all put in the mail system. You have Amazon and other vendors that are sending more packages than these people have ever had to deal with on as timely as possible with the reduced staffing levels that have been forced on them. I know Abner and Will are the principal employees in Snowmass Village and do a great and caring job on a daily basis. Put yourself in these members of our community that work long, tiring and mostly unappreciated hours and have to take the crap that a lot of people throw out to them on an hourly basis. What would you do when you are having to do the job and don't receive the respect from your customers. Please change your attitudes when dealing with the fantastic people that work in Snowmass Village Post Office. It would be great if elected officials in Washington DC would support the Postal Service to get back to the staffing levels we had prior all the increased mail and parcels we expect to receive on a daily basis.

That is because they loose packages and do not care. They stick mail in the wrong box repeatedly, they wail back package without alerting recipients of their arrival. They are aloof and their customer service skills are lacking. I understand busy. I understand overwhelmed. Neither is an excuse for not doing your job.

I have not one good word to say about this post office. My brother lives in Aspen and has not received ANYTHING that his family has sent him. He had a lady tell him to go in and threaten to not leave until he gets his package because that's the only way she got hers. unacceptable and absolutely disgusting. I can't even tell you how upsetting it is to be searching for a birthday present that I know they have, yet say they don't.

The Aspen Post Office seems understaffed. In addition to this problem, most of the employees seem to deliberately slow down their pace to dissuade anyone from deciding to come there again. Today, I have been on hold for 30 minutes and counting to try to make an appointment for passports. I have tried to call the same number back to make sure that they haven't forgotten about me and it rings to a fax machine. This is not listed as the fax number. While I understand that some people in Aspen may not treat the postal employees with the respect they deserve, I am just a regular person who hopes to get through the day. The Aspen Post Office stands out as the very worst postal experience I have had in all of my lifetime, repeatedly. Please help!

If your looking to be put on hold for an hour and then get yelled at by the desk agent then this is the post office for you! My package was addressed with the wrong address and sent to this post office instead of woody creek. When I called the amazon they told me to contact the post office. I contacted the woody creek post office and they told me to contact the aspen post office. The aspen post office put me on hold for over 20 minutes, then when the lady picked up the phone I told her that my package was miss addressed. She told me very rudely that she would be unable to help me. I asked to speak with her manager and she said "I will not help you find your package" then hung up on me. I can't believe that something like that is considered acceptable from someone in a guest service job.

Visiting this post office was the worst experience I have had in a long time. I first went into the office last week because they require you to come to the office to make an appt with the Passport office (you can't call to make the appt). I showed up today on time for my 11am appt. They made me wait 15 mins for the most unhelpful person to tell me to "just put everything in an envelope and mail it". I had questions about how to fill out the form that I downloaded from the internet and he rudely informed me that it was the wrong form. The form I downloaded was specifically for a name change (which is what I needed). He handed me another form and told me where to mail it and include a check for $110. On THEIR website it explained that name changes are free as my passport is still valid. He rudely responded by saying "fill out the form and send the check." He then tossed a postal envelope at me and said mail it priority. So....I made an appt to get NO help, have someone be rude to me and talk to me like I am stupid, and can't even mail the information to their own office for me. I will never visit or purchase anything from this post office again and encourage you to do the same. I will be driving 40 to 50 miles to visit another passport office that I'm sure will be able to assist me.
