Torrance Summerwind condo complex. Package was mailed to me and mailman just left it in the open in front of 100 mailboxes. Did not use my locked mailbox, did not use oversize lockbox, did not drop to my home, did not notify me - just dumped it on the ground in front of the common mail area. Sender updated website as Delivered. Package went missing for 2 days because some stranger picked it up off the ground and later it got to me through a friends friend. What a lazy bunch of crap! Amazon purchases are to my door every time.
I was at your Marcelina Branch at 8:45AM Monday (1/28/19).As I walked up the stairs a gentleman with a hands full of small packages tagged along. I opened the outer door for him. As I opened the inner door it was locked. I said" I thought they open at 8:30".Then a male postal employee came out of the side door to open up. He asked me what I needed. I replied "just 10 stamps". The postal clerk said to come back in 315 minutes. I left. I was back after 45 minutes and as I went to the postal clerk I asked for 10 stamps. He said" Come back in one hour we dont have it.". Exasperated I loudly exclaimed"I come here every month to purchase 10 stamps for the past 20 years and this is the first time you dont have stamps. I left.
One mailman in particular who states he has worked this neighborhood for 4 years has not delivered for 2 days . I followed him to his truck the second day and he stated he could not deliver because my dogs were in the house behind a locked security door. One dog is crated and the other 15 pound dog was behind security door.mailman refused to come to my door and I had to return to my house and get my 3 year old granddaughter, walk across the street with her to get the mail as he just sat on the back of his truck. Rude and unprofessional. Dates this occurred are Sept 13 and Sept 14 2018. Location leyte and sepulveda bl. Also he left our gate open and swinging facing sepulveda bl.
For the past couple of days, the mailman on this side was placing the wrong mails in the wrong mailboxes. Please re-train the mailman in 90502 side. This is really very very frustrating.
PLEASE,PLEASE re-train you staff...This is unacceptable.
I have lived in 5 states and moved more times than I can remember and in the last 25 years I have never had mail lost or stolen EVER until I moved to Southbay!
Torrance USPS lost the birthday cards my family sent to me from Atlanta.
I called for assistance and was ignored.
The Southbay USPS is a joke and has felons working for it. Someone there saw my birthday cards and kept them in hopes of taking birthday money and presents (Felony). So use UPS or FedEx for important mail if you live in SoCal. The USPS there can not be trusted.
Apparently this has been a problem for years in SoCal.
We don't know if this is where we deliver a complaint but yesterday Tuesday May 29, 2018 was not a holiday and we had no mail delivery or pick up this is a business and we always have a lot of mail on Mondays this was a holiday so I should have had double mail but nothing. Where is my mail? Also we have letters for pick up but sadly no postman came into my office on Tuesday??? We also get the wrong mail at least 1 x per week does this seem OK to you? Oh and 1 more thing our postman delivers so late like 4:30 or later I use to get my mail at 12 or 1 which seems reasonable what is going on and I try to call but cannot get anybody to answer a phone at the local postal branch. Hello, we are out here watching you perform badly. I will complain higher up till I get the service we deserve.
Today (Friday, January 12, 2018) the mail carrier for our street delivered to the wrong house for multiple addresses. We got the mail for the house immediately east of us and our mail was delivered in its entirety to the house to the west of us. I believe this also happened to that neighbor and so on. It's like they missed the houses by one house altogether. We live on the 2200 block of 229th Place in Torrance.
The people who work here are unusually incompetent (almost as bad as the MARCELINA Post Office in downtown Torrance.) The worst part is that this one is where most of the other post offices in Torrance get there mail from so it causes problems for the rest of the city.
Your automatic phone system is extremely limited and is apparently designed to prevent any discussion of specific items that are not on your limited list. There does not seem to be a way to get to talk to a "live" person. This is definitely not user friendly. I needed to speak to someone about potential changes to the location of the mail box for a building that we recently acquired. I went into the office last Friday and was told that someone would call me back the following Monday to arrange to walk the site. It is now Thursday and I have not received any call. It appears that I will have to make another trip to the Post Office to try to resolve this lack of responsiveness.
