I’ve been calling The Placerville Post Office for 3 days at different times and no answer. A box with food was put into a locker 8/23 I never got the key & carrier actually accused me of holding onto it, after 10 calls all month of September they finally got the locker open & delivered my package which now the food is rotten and now won’t pick up the phone to discuss this mess. My mom sent this on a limited budget & I’d like for her to at least get the 50.00 insurance money & maybe an apology (why would I continue to call about it if I had the key?!) someone do something and answer your phone!
Horrible service! They claim to have attempted to deliver a pkg. and claimed they could not. Hmm small box and both the pkg male boxes were empty plus I was home all day. Now they claim they left a note which magically disappeared. Now no one answers their phone. Not only do they loose my pkg. half the time they cant even give me my own mail. Thank goodness we have good neighbors and we give each other our own mail. I think maybe Amazon should cancel their contract and give the business to some one who has good work ethics.

I was on hold 90 mins and no one ever came online - I put in a change of address to 6206 Homestead Drive Placerville CA95667.
I paid $50 to get a new key to box #8.
I got mail there for about a week and now - friends are telling me they got their mail returned. The yellow tag - says no mail receptacle.
Once again, I have received a pkg that was torn open w/o a notice of damage upon delivery. First time at Christmas time and again last week. Both times it looked as if “someone” tore it open to look if it was something they would like for themselves. I am so thoroughly disappointed in this USPS office that if I mail something important, I go out of my way to post it in Diamond Springs. I have tried monitoring my mail through Informed Delivery but it hasn’t stopped the potential thieves working in the Placerville Post Office.
I often get an “attempted delivery” of packages notice which is not valid. Each time I’ve been at home with the gate open. I’ve called on several occasions giving permission to leave packages on my porch. It’s so frustrating and majorly inconvenient to pick mail up at the post ofgice due to disability.
After winning on EBay the most perfect gift for my CASA child and paying for expedited shipping the post office managed to screw this up! Big surprise! I left my gate open at home, put my dogs inside and even left a note for my postal worker. They managed to leave my passport ( very valuable if you ask me) but we’re too lazy to drop the box at my front door. See a CASA volunteer is an advocate for abused and neglected children that have been let down enough in their lives. I managed to find the best gift for my child to really let them know someone is listening and cares. I took the mail slip to the post office today (Christmas Eve) talked to two employees that said No no one can grab the box for you our office is closed! I know this to be completely untrue, my husband worked for you for 12 years! You could of,should have, but didn’t ! Thanks for letting a child down and ruining their Christmas! A bunch of angry,pathetic excuses for human beings!
I am writing this to inform you that your postal service has lowlife thieves that are in charge of peoples mail. My daughter has had 2 birthday cards stolen by members of your organization. Cards that she will not recieve because some selfish employee that you people employ took it apon themselves to steal a 14 year olds birthday cards. You own my daughter an opoligy and compensation. Niether of which I am certain your organization will take responcibility for. This is an outrage and I am not going to employ your services in the future. We put our trust in your business and its a failure. Your compony needs to take the proper steps to ensure that this kind of thing does not happen in the future.
I gotta say I have never been so impressed with a post office as i was today. I had a package that was to be delivered either today or monday. I knew the package had arrived at the facility 6 am this morning. I called to see if the package would be set out to be delivered for today, and if not if they could please hold it and not let it go out monday. Well the wonderful man on the other side he would go check with the carrier right now. He came back to inform me that package was in his truck set to be delivered within 45 min.
I just checked my mailbox and sure enough it was there.
Thank you guys!! you have no idea what this means. It hold the onesie with which i will surprise my parents in informing them they are to be grandparents!
Rude, Rude, Rude employee in charge of passport applications! He gave the excuse for his behavior as being too busy with a line out the door, but that's not my fault and this was just a phone call, now I have to face him and his rudeness in person to get the passport, ugh!
I left a note saying I have a package in their own white pick-up mail box sitting next to my mailbox. The post person delivers my mail & drives off leaving it; yesterday again,they never picked my mail to go out again shoving my delivered mail in front of my packages to go out! I have deadlines with most mail going out and it has become completely unreliable service.
Wow. Even a year ago people felt the same way I do. This post office is ran by some rude folks. I have never seen or met anyone so apathetic and uninterested in helping other people than this post office. It was one of the most frustrating things I have ever encountered in my life.
The carriers hardly ever get my mail into my mail-box, they always drop it into my neighbors mail-box, or vise versa. This has been going on for 5 yrs and it's really inconvenient. When I make phone calls and tell them, they quickly excuse me and say they'll "leave a note for the carrier"...complete incompetency and it continues to be a problem.
I needed an envelope desperately, and I paid to have it sent priority. After waiting a week, I wondered what took so long. They sent my envelope to Boise Idaho before it went to Salt Lake City UT, and I am still waiting. A WEEK AFTER IT WAS SENT.
This is by far one of the worst, so bad I am considering renting a box in Sacramento just to make sure I get my mail and packages, today alone the only thing I received was 4 pieces of my neighbors mail, also we have a group location and the mailman once left the back of the boxes opened so anyone could of stolen everyone's mail. Worst by far.
This post office employes the rudest most unhelpful staff you can imagine. I hate even going into the post office as they are so unpleasant. The management needs to look at the culture in this place; it is wonder the Post office is struggling to stay afloat as a business it is not customer oriented at sl.
