very disappointed with mail service, mail delivery of packages that do not fit in mail box are not delivered to resident doorstep, they are just put on floor for anybody to steal, I paid $17.00 in shipping and have had two items stolen, and another package put at another apartment 2 doors away, post office needs to hire more efficient people instead of idiots

I tried calling to talk to someone on a personal note but no one seems to answer the phone. I know right now are trying times for a lot of the work force but what's happening with the post office is not acceptable. Two weeks ago the mailman left the out going mail on top of the mail box unsecured , a customer saw the mail and brought it into the store. Today an employee found an envelope addressed to us in the gutter. I told my employee that was odd because today I noticed a Postal Supervisor following the mail carrier. We have been having a lot of problems with missing mail which have caused a lot of monetary problems both with vendors and clients. I don't believe believe these mistake were intentional but just plain negligence. I would like for someone from the postal service to contact me and let me know how we are going to resolve this matter. Thank You.

The people at the front desk are great and very courteous. However, once they receive and let go of your item to be delivered, the item seems to disappear and no one knows where its at even if you have a tracking # with Priority or Overnight delivery. This has been going on for the past 5 years or so now. I stopped going to this post office even though it is very close to my house. Also, do not try and put your mail on hold at this post office if you are leaving town for a while. You can register your Hold Mail on line or go into the post office and fill out a form. I've literally done both and my mail keeps piling up year after year when I go on vacation. This particular facility is ridiculous and has no clue! La Quinta and Rancho Mirage are the best locations if you want any and all of your post office services to run smooth and actually get delivered, Good Luck!

Something is going on with our mail delivery! This is the third day in a row that we have absolutely no mail. We ALWAYS have something. We depend heavily on the mail service as our clients are elderly and ill patients. They send their checks to us through the US Post Office. Lately, our mail delivery has been sporadic and never at the same time so, we have to go out and check the mail-box periodically to see if the mail came! It would be nice to know what is going on so we can adjust accordingly.

This location never answers the phone. I called often off and on for two weeks from out of state and could never reach a person. Phone rings until it goes dead. I finally called a post office from a town nearby and explained my problem. This person confided that this office never answers the phone.

I live at 76752 Daffodil Dr palm Desert. I wanted to pay a high compliment to my Mailperson Delores. She went way out of her way to find a lost piece of mail for me. I told her she was like the mail people of 50 years ago. When everyone knew the mail person as their friend

A message from USPS shows an item was delivered to 36586 Tallowood Drive, Palm Desert on 1/8/21 at 5:36pm. That item was not received. The vendor shipped the item again. On 1/16/21 at 8:40 am the item was returned to sender processed. It was then delivered to original sender in Fairbury, NE on 1/19/21. Why wasn’t this package dropped in my mailbox the first time?

My package was transferred to your facility on Thursday December 17th 2020. It is Monday and it’s still there according to the tracking..... why is it taking so long to be forwarded to my new address? Should not take this long.

Generally poor service- as stated earlier, phone calls go unanswered because they leave all the lines on hold so they don't have to be bothered. Only way to get any satisfaction is a face to face with the postmaster.

You can contact the office of your Congressperson or Senator and lodge a complaint about the post office. If it is in disarray and terrible condition, or you are getting shoddy or non-existent service, send a copy of the complaint to your U.S. Representative. When a colleague of mine in a big city couldn't get anything done by going through Post Office, he then went above their head to Senator Feinstein, and filed a formal, written complaint. Sorry to say I don't know how the situation ended up. I just want to let people know that it doesn't have to end at the post office...you can go to your representative. Doesn't hurt to try.

I ordered something online and it shows delivered, but it hasn't been delivered, and I called post office and they said since it says delivered, it was. I gave them tracking Number. We have 96 apts in here with different numbers on each one, but 1-6 apt # for that building. I think they delivered it to another building that has the same apt # and they won't help me solve the problem. We all get wrong mail every single day and have made complaints, but post office won't do anything about it. They keep saying they never got any complaints. I even wrote a letter, and my husband was a Carrier for 33 years not here but somewhere else. This is for Palm Desert, Ca. These were blood glucose strips to check my blood sugar. Now I'm out and have to put out more money to buy them all over again. No one will help me at the Post office.

The Palm Desert Post Office is an eyesore with dead leaves, dead grass, large weeds and debri, and a Fire Hazard. We have city laws they should have to comply with!

My husband and I would like to highly commend Christi Deporter, working out of Post Office #1186 On Hovley in Palm Desert. She has gone over and above to assure our mail is delivered. If there are packages, she brings the package and all ofour mail to our door. She is kind and considerate and an excellent employee. I understand she is "temporary" to the Sun City Del Webb territory, however, wish we could have her all of the time. Our mail is early or on time daily...we have never had such an attenive mail person. Thank you for her...she needs a raise! The Kellers in Sun City Del Webb, Palm Desert, CA 92211

The mailperson stuffed a boxed book in my business mailbox and I cannot get it out. The phone number (760-837-9503) is always busy, so I can't remedy the situation

I called and they answered but then hung the phone up and it seems like they misplace the phone so no calls go through..
