My son wrote a letter to Santa and a few days later received a note back. Thanks to the dedication of the employees at the Merced post office they took his letter straight to the North Pole and brought back the reply. We appreciate all the hard work the staff put in all year long, and especially this time of year. Thank you for making a little boy smile!!

I received an email stating that an oversized package didn’t fit in my mailbox or it was full and couldn’t get delivered . Well, usually oversized packages gets delivered at my front door, it’s only a 100 feet away from the mailbox. Is your mail delivery person lazy or just didnt feel like delivering it? Wow really!

Not sure how post office on M st. in Merced is allowed to run a business the way they do business atleast when they damage peoples property. One of their drivers caused over $5,000 in damages to my vehicle and the supervisor that handles their accident cases suggested we could end it on the spot and forget about accident...WTF!!! Port claims is also useless they refuse to give me any information on my case, the only thing that made any sense is when person on phone told me they understand their process is ridiculous. Mail man hit my car in may its now August and they haven't taken responsibility for damages

I get informed that my mail has been stolen before it even makes it to my mailbox now a month later I’m still not receiving my mail what kind of unprofessional is this. I thought working for postal service was a good job. They obviously have bums working there that have to steal our mail.

Have you stopped delivering on Saturdays, or cut back on Saturday deliveries quite a bit?

Our mail has been mis-delivered again! We have had this issue regularly since we moved here 5 years ago. I understand you have a lot of turn over in staff, but your employees need to understand how much mail theft there is in this town. We have a locking mail box for a reason. When you mis-deliver mail to a house with a nonlocking mail box you are literally handing over our mail (checks, debit cards, packages, etc.) to the thieves. You should be held liable for that. On a side note it is really awkward for me to have to drive around the neighborhood and knock on doors to give people their mail back. The USPS needs to allow for better communication with customers for this type of situation and better training for staff.

You should call the Post Master because it says Post Office employees do not read the posted messages. I am not sure if that means no one at the Post Office or only the Post Master/Manager.

I truly understand what you mean personally I feel that the postal service should pick up the change of address or temporary at the same time they can only receive it at your present or past location and they must obtain some type of proof photo documentation that you or who you state you are if that's my ID if that's by some other type of form and if no photo is presented then two to three documentations from different locations should be provided so that way this will stop. I say this because my ex husband ex-husband after 10 years of being divorced from this gentleman he is still to this day occasionally and randomly putting in change of address to any location I move to I've been divorced for over 10 years I'm remarried and he still does it. I believe this is due to the fact that he is occasionally causing me drifts in my life through cybercrime identity, and whatever else his greedy hands could try to obtain about 4 years ago I owe taxes I was not aware of this later come to find out I opened up a business that I'm not aware about no know where it is never started don't know what was in it don't know what it's about but yet I opened it and then I put a DVA in my ex husband's name and about 6 months ago when calling my mortgage office I was informed that I spoke with them the day prior around 7:00 in the morning and that I recently just got off the phone with them the same day I was calling but about 4 hours earlier but he's not the only one doing it to me some things do need to change for the better something things are good the way they are and some things shouldn't be changed but this right here this is one thing that needs to be changed I've lost too much and I have been placed in situations that could have caused riffs and not just my life my children's life and my husband's life and I could have been placed imprisonment for fraudulent things that I didn't do and that right there is way crossing the line that's wrong.

Just a small suggestion, here's my opinion on how Merced county postal services could help everyday moving and reporting changes. "I'd say the change of address forms should still carry post cards with free of charge mailing services for each governmental, federal, residential, and business as well. But keep in mind to offer all 3 ways of making the change. Which are by person, (paper / in mailing) or online.

Our mail is delivered to neighbors, or we get theirs, often. Now today I saw this mailman look at my box on my porch with a bill to go out and he just kept on walking, so I go chase him down, give him the bill. Go home and my next door neighbor is bringing me MY mail, which went to her house. She got no mail, had to deliver mine to me and I had to chase down the postal worker to get mine sent out. We talked to him and he laughed. So now we are both angry. Why can’t we get the same deliverer each day? Why does it come as late as 7:30pm or at 11 am?

We are a business and our mail needs to be here before noon every day, and it usually is, yet when they send someone other than our regular post service woman, they are late. Yesterday, our mail didn't come till 3:30PM

Can not get ahold of anyone via phone!!! Frustrating when your mail person takes your mail out of YOUR mailbox, I have had a clear note for any of the mailmen dropping off my mail to see with ALL residents inside the house FULL name & they still don’t comprehend. No I’m not leaving it for them to take and mail out. This is frustrating. Poor service!

Absolutely wretched management. They CONSISTENTLY do NOT deliver Sunday Amazon shipments to my home for MY (Amazon) account, but - they do deliver my WIFE'S Sunday Amazon shipments. Same address, no difference - except for the fact that my address includes the name of my non-profit, which is a 24-7 operation; they apparently assume my RESIDENTIAL address is a 9-5, M-F business - which it is NOT. No one ever picks up their phone, with calls going to a FULL voicemail box. I've placed formal complaints with the USPS - but still, NO SERVICE. This is truly a terrible, ineptly-run and imperious establishment and the biggest problem is that they've forgotten that they're supposed to SERVE THE PUBLIC. And they certainly do NOT.
