Since Feb 2, 2022, no mails have been delivered to my residence. It is now Friday, 2/4/2022, and this is the third day that mails were not delivered. I receive daily automated e-mails to expect mail delivery notification indicating when and what are the expected mails to be delivered in a given day. Please check into these abnormal situation. I'm sure everyone wants to know what is going on. Some mails that were delayed may cause some legal and financial ramifications to some individuals. I've called the Post Office in Bixby at (562)983-3073 but nobody answered. It appeared that someone answered the phone but hung up immediately thereafter without any word. Do we need to come by the Post Office in Bixby to claim our mails?

Everyday this week I have had the flag up on my mailbox to show I have outgoing mail, but not one day has a letter carrier come by to pick up the mail. Twice this week we received the automated e-mails to expect mail delivery but nothing has been delivered through Thursday. Are the carriers on strike or is my local carrier on vacation? Usually he is by almost everyday to deliver or pick up, occasionally I have to chase him down the block when I see he went by without stopping but that's not too common - most of the time he is very reliable albeit inconsistent coming at a different hour every single day. However, this week 4 days in a row he hasn't stopped to pick up the outgoing mail so I wonder if he made his rounds at all this week. Tomorrow is Friday so I will drive the mail over to my local post office and drop it off there in the drop slot, I can't wait any longer to get this going - one of them is my annual property tax payment and you know they penalize you when they are late and it doesn't matter if it sat in the box four days waiting for pick up. If it's late, you get fined, period. Please check into this and let me know what happened. I know Bank of America and Wells Fargo both sent me notification that the US Postal Service was going to be less reliable going forward but I thought that was just their marketing efforts to get me to go paperless. I didn't expect it to be true.

I went to the Long Beach CA. Bixby branch Post Office today to send a package to Parker CO. that clerk # 54 said weighed 3.2 lbs. and she gave me a choice of 3 totals, over night was $54 and some change and then a $15 and some change and 3 day for $14 and some change I picked the $14 price. Then as I am pulling out my money she said "Oh nope, it just jumped up to $31.10". I was shocked and she must have read my facial expression because she started to explain that it was due to the size of the box which was 15X12X10 she said it was not a flat rate sized box. I said No, because you guys didn't have any FLAT RATE boxes in the lobby the day I came in just like you don't have any out today, so I had to buy another box but that it was still a box that they offered just like the ones over there and I pointed to the same boxes from where I had bought my box., but it is a box that I bought from that post office . Then just before I paid she said "no now it jumped up to $36". I said why? She said "$4.99 for the box". I said No I had already purchased the box for $4.99 and that the girl who I bought it from stamped it with a RED paid stamp we couldn't find it but she took my word for it. Here's my problem, When I went into this post office to get a FLAT RATE box there were NONE! I was basically forced to buy one from them that I am more than sure the post office knows is going to jack up the price on because they made the measurements above the FLAT RATE box size. SO BY NOT SUPPLYING THE FLAT RATE BOXES FOR PEOPLE IN THE LOBBY THEY MORE OR LESS FORCE YOU INTO BUYING A DIFFERENT BOX, THAT THEY DO SUPPLY IN THE LOBBY AND ALL WHILE NOT POSTING THAT THIS OTHER BOX IS OVER THE FLAT RATE SIZED BOX AND THEREFORE IS GOING TO COST YOU PRETTY MUCH DOUBLE WHAT A FLAT RATE BOX WOULD HAVE COST, HAD THEY BEEN STOCKED AND AVAILABLE FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS. IS STOCKING THE LOBBY WITH FLAT RATE BOXES NOT SOMETHING THAT IS IN THEIR JOB DISCRIPTION??? I AM MAD, NO I'M FREAKING PIST THAT THE POST OFFICE IS ALLOWED TO GET AWAY WITH THIS BULL-SH-T!!! AND I AM GOING TO LET PEOPLE KNOW WHATS UP ON EVERY SOCIAL DISTANCING SITE AVAILABLE!!!!! AND ANYONE ELSE I CAN COMPLAIN TO. THIS IS OUTRAGOUS.
