My carrier(s) do not put packages or large envelopes on the porch out of site from the street. They place them on a stone self straight up the walk visible from the street. This includes medications that are not suppose to be in the sun/heat and say fragile. Also carrier does not check for outgoing mail on a daily basis. I am mostly homebound and it takes up to 3 days for a carrier to come of the walkway. Lastly mail not arriving until 7:00 p.m. What's with that?
I know the staff has changed, but the quality of delivery service is like they have had no training whatsoever. I have lived in LM since 1977 this is annoying and fixable; and unsafe.
Mail service in La Mirada has deteriorated to mediocrity. Mail doesn’t come until late sometimes 6:00 pm and not everyday not even when I put mail in the box to be picked up. Constantly delivering mail to wrong address. Recently found a couple of cards on lawn that mail person had dropped, had to run after him to give cards that he dropped.
I have been resident of La Mirada for 41 yrs. and have never seen such terrible service. Need new management or have the

Extremely upset with the service here. I walk in @ 12:30pm to get my son and daughter passport. Inside was only 1 customer being helped and no one in line. An employee walks up and asked what can she can help me with. I told her I was there for passports for both of my kids. She said they were close for that and I thought it was until 1pm but this website says 2pm! I told her it’s 12:30pm. She said they were low in staff and couldn’t do it when clearly at that time there was no one to be helped other than me. She asked to look at my paperwork, looking for an excuse not to help me. I had EVERYTHING I needed, both parents present, copies of both parents ID’s front and back, birth certificates, pictures and everything was filled out. After she asked all those questions I gave her the answer telling her I had everything and still told me she couldn’t help me. She asked another employee and said I had to go to Whittier. I left extremely upset that these ladies didn’t want to work.
In anticipation, I finally received the first issue of an expensive magazine I had previously ordered. Upon Discovery, in my mailbox, I found magazine cover completely torn along with several pages. It appeared that the magazine was caught in a conveyor belt and tape was attached to the torn cover in attempt to repair it. A letter from the U.S Postmaster was included with the package taking responsibility and apologizing for the mail's damaged condition. The letter gave no contact number or option on how to get in touch with someone. Additionally, I attempted to call the La Mirada Post Office with negative results, no answer after several attempts. I am very disappointed. Although, the apology is a kind gesture, I would like to be compensated for the magazine or at the very least have it replaced.
I want to add a compliment to my postal carrier that services our address. I am impressed with the punctuality and of course the mail delivery is always the best it can be. Thank you guys for your hard work in making our country move.
I really wish the Postman would not hand my mail just to anyone standing on the sidewalk or driveway of my home. Many times the Postman has handed my mail to a neighbor or some stranger letting his dog do his business. Please stop this!!!!
This place is useless. I tried calling 6 times to let them know that part of my mail wasn't delivered, waiting for a total of 18 minutes. Got hung up on all 6 times. They delivered my mail about 6:00 pm Tuesday but without the usual advertisements delivered on that day (I talked to my neighbors and the people who got their mail in the morning got the ads, those of us who got our mail late didn't - I guess it was easier to throw them away than deliver them).
Why publish a phone number if you are never going to answer it? Why are we paying these people when they are so incompetent that they can't even answer a phone, maybe we should use our tax dollars to hire monkeys, I bet they could at least be trained to pick up a phone, or maybe an answering machine. The people who work there should be fired (but that would probably be impossible, which is why they are still working there). And they wonder why they have such a bad reputation!
My package was not delivered and I tryed to track it it showed it got half way to its destination then nothing else. My package was supposed to be delivered 2/6/17 it is now 2/14/17. No one answers the phone there I call all day. Not Happy with LM USPS
I live at the rosebeach apt on rosecrans and I don't get all my mail. I don't know if the mail carrier puts my mail in a different box but I'm missing correspondence that I was suppose to get about a month a go. I made a late payment on a bill bc I was waiting for the statement. I want to know what is going on with my mail. Someone please contact me (562)217-9511
Why did I not get mail service today! This is an on going problem with this office. Bet my city council members got their mail. We are the last street in La Mirada and I think the carrier just stops and goes back to the office when it gets dark. Is there anyone else who doesn't get their mail.
