I'm not the kind to complain. But post office quality has fallen not drastically but notably knocking the door or lack of it. People are home, some mail being sent to main office for pick up. Small and not expensive or even requested. Post office men give up very quickly. I never complained all those years walking on my lawn, but this is becoming a bigger frustration. I can't drive 9 miles to check on a package that should be dropped off. I am at a lost. I can't call all day to not get any person to talk to. No one is doing a decent job here in Concord Ca. I don't blame the workers as the demands and consistency of mail. But it's really annoying. You know what I'm saying At least pick up the phone. Like once.

I was standing outside my front door today, when the mailman arrived. I said "Hi, do you have any mail for me today?" But he just walked right past me, he didn't look at me or answer. So then I checked to see if he was wearing headphones, but he wasn't. The guy was white, fat, about six foot tall, with a blue hat. (My zip code is 94519) Anyway, he put mail into the mailbox, and turned around to walk past me again. I said "Hi, can you hear me?" Again, there was no response. So either the guy was deaf, or he was a complete jerk. I suspect he was just a jerk. People should know that the Post Office is the biggest waste of money imaginable. Those shiftless employees get paid more than they're worth to do a job which is not the responsibility of the government. We don't need a bunch of freeloaders, who can't get fired, delivering our mail. A private company would do it much cheaper and faster. This putz is what you get when people have perfect job security. They don't have to be nice. And that's the philosophy of sixty million government employees who can't get fired. So there are two key points: 1. Mail delivery is not an essential government service. 2. There is no reason to withhold personal information. When people report a government problem, they should be given the name of the person involved. Government employees are not granted anonymity. And just so people know: The Post Office controls Fed Ex and UPS through shell companies. The Post Office is nothing but a bunch of dirty union scoundrels who steal money, destroy competition, and hide behind a wall of secrecy. Those Post Office pensions are not valid, they were never voted on, and the taxpayers never approved them. I would close the Post Office, and let private companies bid on the mail routes. And I would tell Washington D.C. and the putz that I met today to go jump off a cliff.

This missive is ridiculous. Try leaving you planet for a minute. He probably sensed your negative energy just walking past you. He wasn’t the one who was a jerk in this scenario. These postal workers are working long days. Give them a break.

This local post office is commiting fraud as You are exempt from zip code  (DMM 122.32) Use of the ZIP Code is voluntary. See Domestic Mail Services Regulations, Section 122.32. You should also know that the Postal service can not discriminate against the non-use of the ZIP Code. See "Postal Reorganization Act", Section 403, (Public Law 91-375). The federal government utilizes the ZIP code to prove that you reside in a "federal district of the District of Columbia It is this writer's opinion, both as a result of study, e.g. of page 11 of the National Area ZIP Code Directory; of 26 U.S.C. 7621; of Section 4 of the Federal Register, Volume 51, Number 53, of Wednesday, March 19, 1986, Notices at pages 9571 through 9573; of Treasury Delegation Order (TDO) 150-01; of the opinion in United States v. LaSalle National Bank, 437 U.S. 298, 308, 98 S.Ct.2d 2357, 57 L.Ed.2d 221 (1978); of 12 U.S.C. 222; of 31 U.S.C. 103; and as a result of my actual experience, that a ZIP Code address is presumed to create a "Federal jurisdiction" or "market venue" or "revenue districts" that override State boundaries, taking one who uses such modes of address outside of a State venue and its constitutional protections and into an international, commercial venue involving admiralty concerns of the "United States", which is a commercial corporation domiciled in Washington, D.C. More specifically, looking at the map on page 11 of the National ZIP Code Directory, e.g. at a local post office, one will see that the first digit of a ZIP Code defines an area that includes more than one State. The first sentence of the explanatory paragraph begins: "A ZIP Code is a numerical code that identifies areas within the United States and its territories for purposes of ..." [cf. 26 CFR 1.1-1(c)].

My postal carrier frequently neglects to knock on my door for certified letters and other items requiring signatures. Instead he simply puts one of those stupid cards saying "sorry we missed you" your package can be picked up at the post office. I dont have time to go to the post office everytime I get a piece of mail. That is whst we pay shipping for. Also, on several occasions we have had to come out in my neiborhood and "swap" our mail because they were all delivered to the wrong address. Also, on more than one occasion, I have had a neibor come return to me mail containing private information, that the postal carrier dropped on the street. The situation with lazy, intitled, unintelligent postal carriers needs to be rectified post haste!

Worse Post Office I have ever dealt with (Case # *****), Relations Dept -Ms. Emma at Oakland,CA complaint dept...(nice person). Summary: Package never delivered (as shown on video). Postal employee never came to home. GPS tracking says delivered but not true, also GPS only accurate to about 20 feet. Filed on-line complaint, Mark B. of the Concord Meridian Office says he called and left message but no msg left, no call record showing contact - only rcv 1 hang-up call. Unable to reach Mark B. Ms. Emma of Oakland Office unable to get in contact via phone with Concord Branch so sending e-mail to Post Master Raul Acosta. Bottom line: Postal Temp employee (did not) deliver mail to my home or my package; nor my neighbor. I have color cams showing he never came to my home and Camera's do not lie. You postal employee has committed several crimes. 8USC, Chapter 12, Sub II, Part 8: USC1324(c)- Document Fraud. By your temp employee using GPS as a matter of "record" to document that the package was delivered when it was not is a crime. It is like filing a false affidavit or declaration. 18USC1708 - Theft of mail or property. The postal employee never arrived as indicated on my security system recording (and saved to my cell phone). No where in sight around my home or the neighbors. The mail was not delivered but kept from its rightful owner, thus keeping the mail is theft - no matter how you look at it. Mark B. of the Main Concord Branch on Diamond Blvd, Concord, CA claims the tracking shows it delivered despite video showing the mail carrier never came. Everyone at the post office has been "blowing" this off and/or covering for this temp postal employee that did not do his job. I have GPS on my phone for radio communication use and it is accurate, and I challenge the Post office to show me their GPS Log of where it was delivered and the coordinates. GPS is used by the Military, Govnt, ships, people in everyday use so the coordinates are not "secret" and can be given, but to this point no one will give the location to me... thus covering up a lie. This needs to be resolved asap. Been dealing with this for a month or more. My first complaint got lost in your system so i filed a second complaint on Aug 9th, 2018. Today, I tried to file a complaint on-line with the USPS.... OIG, complaint against postal employee. After about 30 mins of filling out the forms and double-checking it, I go to hit the send and the Post office system crashes.... "Problem processing request", Please try again later..... Gee, really..... I kept a copy of the documents and a copy of the post office system not working (what else it new). If you have something of value, even with tracking, NEVER use the post office.... you will be putting it at risk. These people cannot do their job and only ignore complaints or cover it up.

Yesterday, USPS tracking indicated a package for me was "out for delivery." This information has been accurate until now. But I waited in vain the entire day. I finally called and spoke to someone at an 800 number after waiting about 40 minutes. This person had no direct knowledge of what they were doing with my package and had to send a message to the Concord office. There was no way to reach them directly. I'm still waiting.

I actually got a person to answer on the second attempt and was able to file a formal complaint about our "recently hired" mail carrier on Gilardy Drive who took a look at the car blocking my neighbors' and my mailbox Saturday and then drove on without getting out to deliver our mail. The guy is SO unhappy, never wears his uniform and should get another job. I'm a disabled senior, LOVE the P.O., where my father worked happily in Benicia, and have NEVER complained before. But live is too difficult for me these days and not even getting my mail at all is over the line. And the outgoing mail rarely gets picked up on our street. Thank you Arthur for taking my complaint! Now let's hope someone follows up and we have out mail delivered.

Complaining to any local post office, is a waste of your time. Obviously, Managers do not care about us. If they actually managed, we would not be complaining! Walnut Creek is really bad, Concord delivers on Sundays, (not in uniform and only to select houses), and returns outgoing mail with valid addresses, and Oakland looses and/or destroys priority mail packages going out and being delivered. Nobody I've talked to likes their mail service. For what we are constantly having to pay more for, we need to rally together and demand better service. Call the Post Master General. Number is 1-888-877-7644. Call each and every time you have an issue.

Our regular letter carrier is excellent. In her absence, however, the service has not been up to par. I have mobility issues and place my outgoing mail in the box for the carrier just prior to her arrival. For the past 2 days, my outgoing mail has not been picked up. I hesitate to keep the outgoing mail in the box over the weekend since there have been incidents in the past of mail being stolen so I will have to take it back in and hope that the carrier will pick it up Monday. I'm just disappointed that the temporary carrier is not up to par and I anxiously await the return of our super mail carrier.

Jeanette--I wish I had read your comment earlier.
Today, 7/31, as of 9:45 a.m., I attempted twice to call--both times I was disconnected at 4 minutes of ringing.

The post ofc SUCKS, I attempted to call 7/28 starting at 9am the Main Concord Post Ofc and no one answers the phone. I have it documented that I called 17 during the entire day and within the time, someone pick up the phone and hung up three different times, my last call was at 4:30pm and the recording came on stating that they hours are until 5pm and again no answer.
Today 7/29 again I started calling and again no answer, so far I've called three different times and nothing. It's now 9:48 and the phone is ringing and again no answer. I let the phone ring until the phone switch times out and drops the call.
My goal is to speak to the Post Master and address and idea that his staff has brought to my attention about dogs being outside that prevents them from delivering the mail within the Holbrook Community.
I think I'll call the Oakland Main Ofc and file a complaint and see if they can help.
