I use the USPS to ship eBay items. Usually very helpful and lovely people. On occasion I will take a photograph of the shipping box in case a customer complains about the packing - eBay will review photos to resolve disputes. I use QR codes, so the label is printed and attached by the USPS worker. David (ponytail/long beard) at the Valombrosa site was polite and fixed the label to the package and when I went to take the photo (just the box) he stopped me and said it’s not allowed and that the receipt will do. That’s fine if this is true, but it strikes me as odd that there would be a policy against this. It’ll be nice to check in with the postmaster to see if David might’ve been mistaken?

I was very unhappy with the Chico Post Office the last few years, but I have to say, things have gotten a little better. Don’t forget, after the 2018 fire Chico saw it’s population increase en masse, 20,000! Before the fire, Chico wasn’t doing so hot in the mail delivery department. But within the past year, the situation seems to have gotten a little better, overall. It’s important to give credit when credit is due. Keep up the good (and hard) work!

I am missing three very important pieces of mail: 2 credit card bills and 1 set of medical records. These are at least 1 or more weeks late. The computerized system for speaking with anyone does not give me an option to report missing pieces of mail. This is extremely frustrating. Please advise my local post office, as I am a wheelchair user without a way to get to to the office, and the local post is not answering their phone. My address is: Shellye Hassell, 1826 Salem St., Chico, CA 95928.

I am addressing my problem with delivery of my mail. I understand that you are so short staffed but my mail is getting delivered to other neighbors houses and their mail is coming to my house on a regular basis I don’t think this is a good thing since one of the items mailed to a neighbor was my registration for my car. I am just asking if the delivery people could take an extra minute to make sure the mail is going to the correct house. I appreciate all that you do for our services and I only am making a comment because it’s happening to frequently now

These are trying times for all of us. They must be especially tough for Postal Service workers around the holidays. This morning about 6:30 I purchased postage for several packages from a kiosk at the Vallombrosa Ave PO. Unfortunately the kiosk's box was locked--apparently full. So, I took the packages with me while doing other tasks. Returning an hour later, I stopped again, hoping that the boxes had been emptied and were accepting packages. No such luck! Both boxes were still locked. A woman who was doing custodian work at the door noted me coming in with a package and as I was leaving, she asked about the situation. On explanation, she said she'd be happy to take care of the problem: she could put them in the mail. She patiently waited while I retrieved the other packages from the car. I thanked her profusely for receiving the packages and she graciously accepted the thanks. In these trying, anonymous, harried times, her thoughtfulness and kindness went far beyond anything expected. It made my day. Thanks again to her and you all!

I can't tell you how often we get mail and packages delivered to the wrong address here in Chico. We are from Paradise, the mail was outstanding there so I know it can improve. Please try harder.

6 times in less than a year, I have not been able to get packages out of the little mail box the apartment complex offers. 5 times we have had to actually go back out and cut the packages open to get our stuff out that way. I filed a complaint and reeved a Service Request #, however no one has ever contacted us nor did it resolve the issue. Last week I actually left a written note in my mail box for the postal person explaining my issues and sometime later, the package we couldn't get out and a new one where sitting on our porch. The issue is, they can open the entire panel, stuff the package in but when we open our individual box, there is a metal lip around the box and now the opening is too small to remove the package to. I received a package at my door today and remembered I hadn't gotten the mail yesterday so I went out to the box. Unbelievable!!!! There is my package from yesterday and a new one stuffed in the box and I couldn't get either one out. Now I know why they actually put this one on my porch.....because they couldn't get anymore in the BOX!!!!!! I have called the local Post Office 10 times so far today and it just rings and then gives a busy signal. Called the 800# and we will see if they really call back as the wait was more than an hour. Something really must be done. They have large mail boxes for packages that always seem empty so I don't really know why they can't put my packages in one of those. Very aggravating!!!

Absolute worst! Some girl barely let me tell her what I needed and put me on hold. I as on hold for 50 minutes! I tried calling on another phone and the line was busy! Unacceptable. They put you on hold so they don't have to take other calls and just hope you hang up. Crappy service

Filled out a vacation hold. Make the mistake of checking the box to have the mail delivered on the last day of the hold. Check the mail box, no mail. Next morning went to the office. I was told my mail had been delivered. The mail person had put the mail on the front porch. No mail on the front porch. Spoke to the supervisor and she said she would speak to the mail carrier and call me. The mail was delivered to my neighbor's front porch. Never heard from the supervisor. Really disappointed in her. Do not call the post office they hang up on you.

This Post Office is the worst, constantly on a weekly basis they put the wrong mail in the wrong apartment mailboxes then when you try to call to complain nobody answers the phone and now I'm missing 2 packages that they say they delivered to my mailbox but they're not there! And of course nobody will answer the phone, if you want your mail to arrive don't depend on the Chico Post Office!! Pretty sad and pathetic! I have never ever dealt with a more unprofessional postal service then this! They just hire anybody and don't care about the mistakes they make! I'm taking this to the postmaster next!

I do not know whether new employees are checked to see if they can read or not, but for several years now I have been getting mail for eveybody but me. Some time it is only off by one number, other time it has been off by several street having the same numbers. Kind of makes me wonder where my mail is being delivered too, because it is not getting to me!!!!!!!

I agree with the others here who are complaining about service. The phone rings then hangs up without connecting to anyone. Very frustrating. I was trying to call to let someone know that my mail is being misdelivered to neighbors, and vice versa, in Chico. This has happened several times in the last few months.

when will the annex be open again? I have applied for mail forwarding. Will this apply to the gathered mail for pickup at the window? I have tried to call 3 days in a row now, and the line is disconnected after holding for about 20 seconds.

Why is our mail being delivered after 8 p.m.? Recently we have been receiving our mail between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. whereas for years we got our mail before 5:30 p.m. Why the change? Can we expect evening deliveries to continue in the future?

Thx for your hard work. At 23 Terrace Dr. Chico we have a man who leaves others mail often, including my bribers check. A woman came by today trying to find her mail, which also had a check. I left out someone else’s mail to pick up. The carrier pushed it back into our mail slot. Sure miss our old carrier. Just thought you should know. I know you care about good service. Thx, Ann

I have a PO Box next door to the post office. It used to be open 24 hours then it closed at 7:00 went there last night at 6:24 it was already locked. I guess they did not set their clocks back on the door to daylight savings time. I too tried calling the main office on Valambrosa and it rang and rang and someone just hung it up twice... Dont know why I am bothering to post here if they do not read it....

This is a completely non-functional post office. The operator does not answer the phone. I was disconnected at least 20 consecutive times. Their federal funding should be revoked.

Our mail is delivered anytime between 12:30 and a little after 7:00 pm This is unacceptable! I tried to put my mail on hold using the USPS website and was unable to complete the process, had to call the 800 number. After 50+minutes on hold it hung up on me. Now I have been trying to get through to the Chico main office and the line keeps hanging up on me. How are we able to put our mail on hold if we can't get through to ANYONE!!!!!

It's almost 6:30 and again our mail hasn't been delivered yet again. This is a chronic problem. I would like to know why our mail isn't delivered during regular business hours. It's really quite annoying. I live off of East Ave.

If you're too busy to answer the phone, disconnect the telephone. It's poor customer service and displays a lack of professionalism when a business puts people on hold indefinitely or hangs up on them, gov agency or not, I can multitask and answer phones at work, anyone can. Perhaps, pursue a different line of work. Negative one star.

So I am a student here in Chico who regularly has packages such as school books and other college essentials being shipped all of the time to my address. It is already stressful enough dealing with just about every aspect of college in itself but, having to rely on quite possibly the most useless and unorganized postal service just makes things a lot worse for me. Its as if these employees are told to not do their jobs correctly. They never answer the phone and packages are constantly not being delivered on time or even at all to me. If by chance I do get my package delivered it is usually right before they are closed for the day. I do not understand how USPS is even still around. They are just completely incompetent and are awful at what they do!

You might as well of been a Third World country or former eastern bloc nation. The US postal Service is one of the worst national postal systems in the developed world. This is what happens when a nation spends all its resources on war amd empire! America is doomed.

In the last month I have mailed 2 small packages to people from the mailbox pickup where I live. Calling does no good as the local post office never answers the phone and the 800 number does not give me the option to talk to someone. I am now afraid to mail any package from this location. It would be wonderful if someone checked on this issue.

Carrier will not pick up my stamp order. In box with red flag up next to neighbor's box who did receive mail. Tried to call number of local post office, but constantly busy. Tried to email the complaint to the USPS site, but site will not accept my legal address! Called 800 number, but they are closed (and they have one of the worst automated systems I have ever tried to use). I am incredibly FRUSTRATED. USPS "service" is just bad, bad, bad.

We live in a rural area and must grab our mail when delivered or the vandals take off with it.
We have not had delivery two days in the last week.
Two deliveries have been after 7:30 PM in the evening.
Please advise on how we can get our mail sooner and in our box before dark.
Thank you.
