Since some of the streets in Lake shore gardens are somewhat under construction, the mailman Ricardo thought it was okay to stop delivering mail in the affected streets without giving notice to the inhabitants. For a week now we did not get any mail. Tried to call the main office for several times, nobody there ro pick up the phone, we tried 5 times and everytime the line went to "busy" The service is absolutely horrifying. Where is our mail, we are all expecting important mail, among other bills that we need to pay on time. Please DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS. regards, K.S. ten Broeke

The Middle Aged Asian man at the front desk 12/21/2023 was a jerk. We used ground saver to send a package to my family in oceanside. I will never do it again. As the sender... I NEVER SAID "DONT DELIVER THE DANG PACKAGE". USPS tracking states it's been scanned in Carlsbad, the jerk at the desk stated, "Im not even going to look" and send family to Oceanside post office. Oceanside sees that Carlsbad has scanned it... JERKS had it the whole time. Now not only is the package undelivered, they won't answer the phone, I can't get my money back on the shipping, and they will neither confirm or deny the where the package is in person.

We have a client that sent a very high value check certified mail, signature required. The Carlsbad (92008) post office states tried to deliver on a Saturday (why they would knowing this is a business office???), and recording of tracking states will attempt next business day. Our postal delivery person has come and gone and the letter was not delivered. I called the local Carlsbad office and the phone rang for over 3.5 minutes then just disconnected. Very Frustrating!! Why have a phone number when nobody's going to answer it. - And I called well within business hours.

As of January 15, 2019, it appears (we have been hearing) the location is not going to reopen. Building may be demolished and the land leased to a private entity.

Roosevelt location is CLOSED due to construction as of DECEMBER 6th, 2018. There is nothing posted at the location pertaining to dates of potential re-opening. There are no mail trucks in the back, no employees. A postal carrier in the neighborhood said they will be retrieving mail deposited in the outside blue mailboxes, however that should be posted on the building as well. Appears nearest USPS is 8 miles away, Aviara or Oceanside. Major upset financially for low income residents who walk to PO selling items and require receipts for packages.

Location has been closed for almost a week now, due to the flood. I am getting a little bit irritated not being informed of when service will be available and how to get my mail. They assume everyone has access to website and/or transportation.

Customer service won’t answer the phone when I call during business hours and I routinely get other people’s mail in my P..O. Box. I have no confidence in the Carlsbad Post Office.

I have not received any mail at my new change of address in over10 days. I have called the USPS main number and been told there is a 2 hour wait. I have called the Carlsbad post office at least 8 times this morning and let it ring and ring and ring until the phone cuts me off each time. And then the recording at the USPS asks to please stay on the line after you speak with a rep to take a satisfaction survey......Really ?????!!!!!!!

Currently work with the USPS military abroad camp Pendleton but need to know why the carrier does not care about my packages, several of my packages are being left at random apartments as well as other customers. I had a neighbor get a red kids barrel of mail that s not her mail and deliver it with her baby to ever correct location as stated on the box. Even though the correct address and information is on the package why is it getting dropped anywhere. Please give me a call at 760-763-2294 or just fix the carrier because this makes no sense at all.

Letter carriers are great ! Always friendly and helpful - I've lived in the village 4 years. Same for the village location. They all deal with quite a mix in clientele - I've seen nothing but courteous service - especially during the Christmas rush!

In September of 2017 I opened a PO Box at this location. Believing everything was fine I started checking my Box for mail daily. Noticing that I was not receiving my mail I spoke with a front desk clerk who assured me everything was okay. In October of 2017 I received a phone call from my bank advising that my new credit card had been returned with a note on the envelope stating not a valid address. Upon checking my PO Box more closely it was discovered that the Postal Employees had placed a tape across the back of my paid for mail box stating it was closed. Upon speaking to a supervisor it was determined that the employees failed in their job performance because the box I had been assigned was closed for two years, and this tape was not removed. Also, there has been other problems receiving my mail at this post office. My Father, rest his soul, delivered mail as a letter carrier for over 40 years, and always said the Postal Service was declining in customer service and should remove the word Service from the title. After this incident I am in agreement. Not happy at all and still waiting on my new card. Watch your mail closely at this Post Office, either they are just incompetent employees or they are taking our mail.

YOUR CARRIER LEFT THE MAILBOXES UNLOCKED AND MAIL ON TOP OF THE MAILBOXES. YOUR NUMBER 760-729-1244 IS BUSY NONE STOP SO THERE IS NO WAY FOR ME TO RELAY THIS MESSAGE BESIDES THIS...

I completely disagree, kwg. The employees have always been very friendly to myself and to my family. We have been going to this post office multiple times a week for the past 2 years and I have never experienced any of what you are describing. If anything, they have been kind, eager to help, and patient.Sometimes, people's experiences are a reflection of their treatment of others.

Unquestionably the worst USPS in the country. With one exception, all employees are rude, arrogant and over-bearing. At times, employees are just plain nasty.
