Truly the worst post office in the united states!!! They can’t walk 10 extra feet to put a package next to your front door. Instead they leave it close to the street where it can be damaged by rain or stolen. I always get other peoples mail in my box( 3-4 pieces per week. I get my mail opened in my box that says not at this address which means they delivered it to the wrong address and they open it up and then wrote wrong address. I have had people show up at my house and when I asked them how they knew I lived here they responded that they asked the mail lady, REALLY!!! Since when can a government employee give out a persons address?? They are also pretty rude every time I walk in to the post office
this was by far the worst customer service experience of my entire life. this review needs to be all in caps for that reason. i was just treated like trash, like dirt. i walked into the post office at 4:25 pm when closing time is 4:30. there was no one in line, not one person. the two clerks behind the counter were ringing up other customers as i walked in. after finishing those transactions, the first of the two employees scurries behind the scenes promising to return and help me in just a second. meanwhile the the other employee juanita, who was now available, asked how she could help me. i told her that i had two letters that i wanted to mail out and asked to have my options explained to me. i wanted to know the difference between services such as "certified" and "priority"... these are common questions she gets on a daily basis. she was clearly annoyed by my question as it may have taken her more than 5 or 10 seconds to process my request and she wanted to go home. i'm certain that had i just asked for two postage stamps she would have sold them to me. unfortunately for me, even that was not an option. as soon as i asked the question she said i better get to writing the slip fast because they were closing in a few minutes. while telling me this, she was walking away from her station and computer in order to come into the lobby and lock the door. rather than doing that, she should have been helping me finish my transaction. after leaving me stranded at the desk for at least 5 minutes while she kicked out other potential customers from the lobby, saying they all showed up after 4:30, she came back to the counter and told me to get out, they are closed. i was shocked. i was there well before closing and all of the time that should have been spent helping me was wasted kicking people out of the lobby. she didn't even have the decency to sell me a couple stamps. i have never been treated so poorly in a customer service setting. the encounter culminated with juanita kicking me out of the mail center having forgotten she locked the door. she left me locked in the lobby and refused to serve me! yes, this is actually what happened to me. she told me to get out and had me trapped inside!!! i said "i couldn't leave if i wanted to, you have locked me inside."
as she opened the door to let me escape, she told me her boss isn't allowing them to get any overtime whatsoever so i couldn't be helped. so now i am left with having to drive a half an hour to morro bay tomorrow and worry about my letters getting to their destinations on time. lastly, i asked the poor excuse for a human being that i had been dealing with if she could go home happy with the level of service she had provided me with. and she said yes!! thanks juanita.
I have no idea how to handle a package reported as having been delivered per FEDEX by USPS that has not been received. Any assistance would be appreciated.
