This has been going on too much! For 3 days now no mailman delivering any mails here at the main and brush street west side Alameda! This is not right. My outgoing mails never picked up! And I pray I don’t have any mail theft. I will be looking into getting the news involved. This has been going on for Sometime now and this is ridiculous! No one answers the phone there! No one to speak too!!

Hi I’ve been desperately trying to reach you and/or get your help on solving the matter of aparent mailtheft by the carrier for almost 2 months now. The supervisor’s personal phone is never answered as well as the ones on the Alameda post office, the only answer I’ve gotten from you is that the case is closed. 15 packages of mine were missplaced or stolen by the Alameda Carrier, they were scanned and not delivered, and this is not one package, it’s a lot of them! I truly am in a lot of trouble right now and would appreciate your help locating and delivering my packages to the correct address, I wish this would’ve have been dealt with several weeks ago when it happened and not being dismissed as nothing and not have me go through so many negative situations this ordeal has brought for me. Please answer me back through this mean and lets solve this situation once and for all, I would really appreciate it if you’d help me. Thankful in advanced and eagerly waiting for a response and solution, RM PAS

I have sporadic deliveries at my Hawthorne Street dress. Last Friday I received no mail and mynout going wasn't picked up. Normally on Friday I receive myAlamed Sunnewspapeer to whichI am subscribed. NO PAPER this week? Why? Can't we get reliable mail service? Ihavde lived-in the street since 1986 and over the past 3 years since we lost our regular mailman service is spotty at best

The mail delivery has gone from good to horrible. Most often the mail comes late and sometimes at of after dark. I've had mail missing. This is consistent mail such as bills. This month I didn't receive the Comcast bill. The worst Is when I received a package of masks from Taiwan and the package was open. There were a pack of 20 masks missing (stolen). Unfortunately this trend is in line with the decay of our society and system as a free nation.

I wonder about the pick-up times for the various Alameda post offices not just the final one. I assume the mail all goes out of town to Oakland to be sorted and then returned, doesn't it? (I'm trying to determine the quickest way to have a birthday card delivered in town.) Thank you!

Ok! Getting kind of ridiculous now! No one ever answers the phone which probably means your always short of staff. Please hire more staff for customer satisfaction. Thank you!

I believe any one but our regular mail man that delivers our mail, steals packages. This is the second time without our regular mail man, that a package of mine was "delivered" but I never received it. Not only does the 800 number put you on hold for hours, but the local one doesn't even answer their phones!!! Also I have a sign saying to please deliver the mail to the other side of the house, since the whole front side is unable to get to. But no one listens but the regular mail man. There are no words for how much I hate the mail men that come by that isn't the normal one.

Update: the relief pitcher/carrier came out this morning. I explained the problem with the outgoing mail. He told me it is true, the regular carrier only delivers 3-4 days a week with other carriers filling in the remainder of the week. Unfortunately this week there were 2 substitutes and the one on Monday or Tuesday didn't pick up the outgoing mail. I did call 800# and there was a long wait but the person was helpful.

I purchased a P.O. Box and they sent the mail back because they thought my new P.O. Box was still owned by the previous owner!!! I had to travel to the Post Office and ask to speak to the Supervisor as to why I wasn't getting any mail. They realized the error and the supervisor apologized and fixed the problem. He said I should get compensated for the inconvenience. I agree. But I had to call another ph number that JUST RINGS!!! He promised me that I would be able to speak w/ this person. SHE WILL NOT ANSWER THE PH!!!! I am getting the run-a-round!!! So unprofessional and a waste of time. Now I have to go back up there and complain again!

I've been trying to make an appointment to apply for a passport. No one answers the phone! Then, I read the complains people have been making (for years!!!) How long will it take to fix this problem? Is there any supervision?

The postman who handles Thompson Avenue is unstable and I feel dangerous. He yells and people and comes at you like he is going to hit you. Does anyone know who to contact? I have tried all the numbers and nobody answers.

How many Alamedans on the west-central (NOT gold coast) have had this happen?
You sing up for email notifications on package delivery. You get the email at 8:00 am or so saying IT'S OUT FOR DELIVERY, then you get another one around noon saying:AVAILABEL FOR PICKUP. What's the point of waiting for a delivery that won't be done? I called the number and got some one who kept explaning that "gee, the carrier must have hit the wrong button"????! Like that's an acceptable excuse.
It's happened about 10 times this year.
STOP WASTING OUR TIME!

I called the main USPS number and got them to give me an alternative phone number (510-748-5370)... Someone answered the phone!!! Turns out they no longer take appointments and you just walk in; Go figure! Someone should put that on the website.

tried calling to make an appointment for a passport & photos and every time I manage to get through some one would hang up as soon as they pick up the phone. How am I supposed to make an appointment or get any questions answered about passport photos and fees? I understand they can get busy but come on.

Any advice on how to get an appointment for passport services? It says an appointment is required but gives no number or email to make an appointment, and when I call the general post office number it just rings and rings, no message, no pick up. Any suggestions?
