Question: I heard that in Oracle AZ your mail delivery is to a PO Box and NOT to your home, there are no home mailboxes on roads, is that true? I am planning to move there but I prefer to have my mail delivered to my home and not to a PO Box at the post office.

I have had an oracle post office box for many years now. I have been ordering the Ipsy makeup bag for the last year-and-a-half. I received the Ipsy bag many times ripped open items missing out of my bag and they tape it shut someone is stealing my products out of my bag thinking I'm not going to say anything about it I hope they get caught fired and punished

Since moving to Oracle 5 years ago I have had multiple packages addressed as I was instructed by the rude post office people. They instructed me to add a dash after the zipcode with my PO Box. However, they still send everything back including Christmas and birthday gifts. I’ve become highly annoyed with the lack of reasonable people if it’s addressed to a Oracle resident than I’m guessing it belongs to a person residing in Oracle. They have also told me to call them to advise them if a package for me, I’ve done that abs they also send it back. Yesterday, I was told they still have Christmas presents which have not been delivered. Every time I’m in line customers are upset and annoyed. This is a systemic problem. What is going on? We need respectful, trained and competent people not these mean nasty people.

I am completely dissatisfied with how our post office has been conducting business lately. I went in to the lobby today to pick up two packages which we had notices for in our post office box. The lobby attendant proceeded to ask for my physical address. After telling her, she rudely stated that I had a package delivered addressed only to my physical address that would be returned today. I politely said “oh no, don’t do that. I’ll take it.” I told her that I had thought the package was being sent through FedEx so I instructed my Aunt to address it to the physical address. She continued to rudely state the post office’s policy of returning their customers’ packages if the post office box number is not on them. Which I already knew from previous experiences. I thanked her took my package and left. Her behavior was so inappropriate that another customer who was behind me in line felt the need to come to me in the parking lot apologizing for “her being a b****”. I’m sorry, but this is not how I expect those serving the public in our community to act. This unkind behavior has got to stop.

Apparently if a package arrives without the PO BOX number even with the name and physical address clearly present it gets "returned to sender". Oracle is a pretty small town and receives approximately 25 packages/day. How hard would it be to look up a name and find the PO Box and not send the package back? It is terrible customer service and is a major reason FedEx and UPS are taking so much of the business. Both of those companies are reliable and customer oriented. If you want something important to arrive I don't know anyone who would use USPS as opposed to FedEx and UPS,

It seems our local Oracle staff need more customer service training. Is it the intention of staff to drive businesses to use FedX instead of the postal service? Customer Service has been below standards since Laurie the Post Master departed. Do we have a Post Master? I intend to ask. New businesses are having a difficult time with shipments. Our organization, OWN represents economic development in this community & we are very concerned about the lack of professionalism these staffers represent. Alicia Bristow, Board President

Moved to Saddlebrooke Ranch 5 years ago and mail was delivered to Bighorn Drive around 1030-1100 a.m. About two years ago this changed to around 230pm. Last two months it has changed again and is now 430-600pm or later. Respectfully request delivery route be changed back where we receive mail in a.m. It appears that you may need to add additional route.
