I had a package that was delivered yesterday, 12/07/2023 at 2:50 pm. Tracking number is 9378 5897 2802 5040 6562 08. The package was literally JAMMED into my mailbox. I had to get my neighbor help me get it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The receipt from Amazon said the package was left at the front door or porch, but it wasn't!!!! Instead, as I said, it was JAMMED INTO MY MAILBOX and that is unacceptable because it was EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to get out of the mailbox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have tried to contact you at 365-7043 and no one answers. Why? I ;called several times. I needed to know if the package deliverer had returned with my package that didn't deliver (left a note in mailbox) on 7/29/2023 around 10:15 am. I was home, but didn't hear the front doorbell ring (if it was attempted) I will now have to take a chance that the package has been returned to the P.O., which is needed today.

I am upset my mail carrier will not close the mail box door when delivering mail. I would prefer the whole neighborhood not know I have mail in my box.

I ordered package via Amazon. USPS was the delivery agent. On delivery day, the USPS system was annotated they were unable to "complete" the delivery and were holding package for pickup at Prattville post office? No other explanation. I paid for home delivery and not to have to drive to the post office and pick up this package! If the USPS can't delivery packages via Amazon why isn't Amazon informed of this fact and thereby removing USPS as the delivery agent? Very poor explanation of not being able to "complete" delivery and poor service to not deliver the package at the next opportunity. As a tax payer I have higher expectations for the USPS.

Besides our mail arriving anywhere between 5:00-9:30pm, I have had to pick mine up off the ground & yesterday I had government mail on the ground & very wet…we all are very unhappy with “new” mail carrier. Our old carrier delivered right around 11:30 everyday!!!

I had two packages scheduled for delivery On December 3, 2021. I had been tracking the status using the tracking numbers, To be delivered by 8:30 PM and 9 PM. When the time past the tracking updated to packages held at post office at Customer Request. I never ask for my packages to be held. I sat at home all day waiting on them to be delivery. If you don't want to do your job fine, don't use me for your excuse.

I recently moved from Prattville and filed a change of address with all of my accounts, plus I submitted a Change of Address with USPS and paid USPS to have my address forwarded just in case I missed something. I ordered 3 Christmas gifts long before I ever moved, and once they were ready to ship, I had moved and my old Prattville address was used by the seller despite my request to update it. I worried this would become an issue, but thought with my address being forwarded it would all work out. Go figure the package was delivered to the Prattville address anyway and now the new tenants have it and cannot be located. This has been an absolute nightmare, but this is not even the first package the carrier has dropped off at my old address, it just happens to be much more sentimental and important to me and my family. What is the point in jumping through hoops to forward my mail if the carriers don't bother to utilize it?

This post office is very much a government service. They refuse to allow me to pick up packages even though i have a PO box, saying there is no one there to process them. This is ridiculous at best. I had to get a PO box because i was having my mail stolen, and they of course could do nothing other than take my money to alleviate the situation. Heaven forbid they actually do some real work. They have no actual accountability and as such should be abolished and we should go to a paid mail service. This will alleviate all of the spam mail that is shipped and will give the people a way to leverage against the people who deliver our mail. As of now and in our current setup the people get no other real choice because the USPS has a monopoly over paper mail. This is absurd, i want to see some actual changes made or we the people should move to have another system outside of government control established and let capitalism play its course.

I was amazed to learn that my mail carrier apprently didn't take drivers training to learn how to back up and go around a veichle parked on the street. So now I have no mail delivery. I live in town on a dead end street so this NOT a dangerous action.

i get someone elses mail at least twice weekly, and have had 2 people bring me mail that was put in their box in the last 2 weeks. i met the young lady ,with mail not mine, and told her that people had brought me my mail that had been put in their box. she shrugged and said well,is this yours? while handing me my mail. then for the next 2 days...no mail. she must have been hired at the request of someone very important. she is on her phone talking constantly. she is NOT new,and putting mail in wrong boxes is just as bad now as when she first started.36067,festival dr,prattville

Where is my package? It was supposed to be delivered on 12/06/2017. I received an "update" stating that it would be delivered on 12/07/2017. I did not receive it. I received another "update" yesterday which said it was out for delivery only to get another "update" around 8pm stating a"delivery exception has occurred, contact my local post office to schedule a pick up or reschedule the delivery". NO! This is for you to remedy, not me. I have been home 24/7 since 12/05/2017. There is no excuse for your horrible service! In a 2 years time period, I have had at least 2 deliveries which contained rare collectibles that were intentionally damaged. 1 by some really nice worker that felt it was necessary to stomp on the priority mailer leaving their shoe print and a huge hole in it. When I opened up that box, I found that one of your workers felt that stomping on the box was not enough. That same person or another worker had opened the mailer in order to slash the original packaging and cut squares into three sides to the collectible's original packaging and reseal the mailer (as if I wouldn't notice). I complained in person when that happened only to be blown off. 2nd time was just 3 weeks ago. Another rare collectible (a game from 1982 in its original packaging). When it was delivered by priority mail, the box was ripped open in 2 places (where it was originally sealed) and on the front middle). The worker that felt it necessary to open the original packaging and take the original game pieces from the pouches that held them. The person resealed the package with one small piece of packing tape even though anybody could see where they had ripped the box open. I now have an original game missing pieces which are no longer available. I complained that time and was blown off again. You need to do better. A whole lot better! I can see that I am not the only person unhappy with your service which isn't any service at all.

Our mail lady is the worst! She will let mail fall all over the muddy ground, not deliver packages and instead writes out pickup slips because she is too lazy to get out of her vehicle even though there is someone here 24/7 the majority of the time especially if we are expecting a package. She needs to be fired or change her delivery methods!

This really is the worst post office I've ever had to deal with. Mail is never on time, packages sit at the office for days before they get around to delivering them. It takes 3 or more days to get letters to Montgomery. Regular letters can take 6+ days to get delivered to a town 65 miles away. We have had several occasions where GameFly and Netflix have been "lost". I do as much business as I can with UPS solely because of this. No wonder USPS is constantly losing business

I love this post office and have had only positive experiences there. Our mail at home usually arrives late in the day, but that is a result of living at the tail end of the route, not because of intentional neglect. The employees inside the Prattville PO on Greystone Way are cheerful and knowledgeable. They are, in other words, a pleasure to deal with. Linda Fisher.
