I have on several occasions experienced unfriendly/unhelpful service from the Postmaster at Phil Campbell, AL. I have been a patron for almost 9 years, and have been in the post office numerous times. The postmaster has waited on me numerous times, and was always rather stoic and unfriendly. I went there today to overnight a legal paper, and asked the lady at the counter to witness my signature on the "waiver of notification." She asked the Postmaster in the next room if it was OK. He told her she should not sign it because: " We don't know you." I was the only customer. I walked outside and met a total stranger who witnessed it for me. The waiver was only to speed the action of Probate Court to assign a conservator in the matter of my sister who had a severe stroke. It did not require noterizing. I went back inside to send it overnight for a cost of $22. There are other Post offices near me, so I will not use the Phil Campbell Post Office in the future for my discretionary postal needs. Please consider replacing the rather large number of small Post offices (Phil Campbell, Spruce Pine, Bear Creek, Hackleberg, Haleyville and Russelville, etc.) in the local area with one full service, centrally located facility. Thank You, Jerry Howard
