Why is it I get tracking notification my package was deposited in a parcel box, and now 5 days later still waiting for a key. 3 times now I have gone down with a key for the PO parcel box and found packages for other people, then I have to go back and stand in line to give it back. Packages that never get delivered, just hangs out at the PO to be returned. How do you even file a complaint about the dead beat delivery person, that has no problems hand delivering packages to her friends, but can't get it right for the rest of us.

This specific postal branch needs to be shut down with a whole new crew starting it somewhere else in a different location because it sucks. They keep putting my things in a Box that does not open with a key. I have mentioned this several times that this one specific lock and Box needs to be changed and they will not do it I would like to speak with the supervisor but every time I try to call they hang up on me. Screw this postal service

Rude & disrespectful to tenants. They park in front of your space, don't back up into an open space, just enough to block you, then proceed to sit in the truck & stare at you. Like it's their right to be there & you can &*#! off. THE TENANT IS NOT BOUND TO ANY LOCAL DELIVERERS PRESENCE.You are NOT the FEDS, you are EMPLOYEES. YOU DO NOT CREATE YOUR OWN RULES & FORCE PEOPLE TO WAIT ON YOU. It is YOUR PRIVILEGE to be here. Get over yourselves & the obnoxious attitudes.

I have a package that was Out for Delivery yesterday (Dec 6, 2021). By 7:50 that night it still had not been delivered and the tracking info says that a Delivery Attempted - No Access to Delivery Location. THIS IS A LIE!!!!! My location is on N. Love Drive in Palmer. Arabian, Harvest and Love drives are plowed clear. My driveway is also clear and NO ONE from the post office tried to deliver my package to me.

I want to let everyone know that if you call the post office now someone will answer the phone. The person answering the phone isn't defensive, they actually want to help. I've spoken with Charlie and Alan at USPS in Palmer the past few days. Missing packages are still a regular occurrence as is delivering or swapping the neighbors their mail for your's. USPS has tried to mitigate missing mail by obtaining a GPS scan from the couriers where they are supposed to leave your mail and, more specifically, packages. It doesn't take a very intelligent courier to realize that they can scan the item then slide it under their seat. Anybody on site watching the courier will also notice packages go into an unlocked box. If you are physically at your mailbox and the courier doesn't hand you a package that, is recorded as out for delivery, call USPS in Palmer and report it. This has happened to me twice in the recent past. Yesterday I was a moment or two late and sure enough, a third package out for delivery didn't make it into my box. The holiday season is upon us. Checking your mailbox promptly is a good idea. Good luck to everyone and thanks for sharing your mailing experiences here.

I asked to send my package for TRACKING ONLY, no signature and just found out that a signature was required. I did not ask for this specifically. I just wanted it left in their mailbox and track it for safe delivery.

Hi, A wrong key to our package was provided. We put a notice saying the key doesn't work. It's been two days since and the key was not changed. I tried opening other boxes ,just to check which box it will open. It opened box A instead of D that is written on the key. The note was taken out , but they key was not changed. Please give us the right key to our package. If nothing is done tomorrow, I will take the key down to the post office. This is frustrating.

I put the wrong address on an order from Amazon. I tried to change it with Amazon, but it was already shipped. I tried to intercept the package on USPS but it didn’t qualify. I sent a fax to the Palmer Alaska location. They found my package!!! I am so grateful! They were so helpful!!! Thanks again! Terisha

We have never had doorstep package delivery until the last month or so. Lately, though, our mail carrier has taken the time to bring our boxes to us when they don't fit into the lock box. What a huge service this has been! I am so relieved to avoid the lines and the germs at the post office. Thank you x10!

The mail carrier, who delivers mail along Blue Lupine, drives past our house about three hundred feet to the south but would never consider dropping a package at our door. Almost daily we receive junk mail that doesn't belong in our box and, at least weekly, we receive more important mail addressed to people on Updraft or Pioneer and other locations nearby. We had a mail carrier some years ago who would call for us to meet them on Pioneer when they had a box for us. Our mail wasn't delivered there but it was better than driving to Palmer.

I've had many things shipped back. This time I tried to catch my package before it got shipped back and the lady behind the counter was so condescending and rude. I will not deal with her again. She was older with glasses and short blondish hair. Will be reporting to a manager. I was so humiliated by the way she talked to me. I've had nothing but great experiences with staff until her. Very rude woman!

Blows my mind how self entitled and conceded some of you people are.. If you can't wait an extra day or two for your package then don't order anything. Y'all are a bunch of big babies, just crying and whining. Grow up people. How old are you? Have you even thanked your mail carrier or postal worker once? They bust their asses for us.. Some have 900 plus customers! All post offices has its pros, and cons. A majority of the cons is probably everyone constantly bashing the postal workers in the face. So demanding. MINE MINE MINE. WANT WANT WANT. instead of being a child, try looking at the other side of things. Instead of complain complain complain, you should give them a complement?. I've never had an issue, with the Palmer PO. I'm thankful we have it and I'm thankful for all the carriers that bust their butt for us. :)

Up until the past 3 months, I've been mostly satisfied with the post office here, but these past 3 months, I have not gotten my electric bill, and the electric company says it was mailed on or about the 7th....this is the 24th, and it isn't here again. Supposedly mailed again on Thursday after I called about it again. I'm 80 years old, and don't get to the mail box often as it is over a mile from the house, but I do expect to get my electric bills in a timely manner. It isn't as if I've just moved here.....been here for a number of years now.

I think if they made 3 lines it would go so much faster. One line for "Shipping", one line for "Pick-Up" and one line for "Other/Passports." That would mean getting rid of the long table and using ropes (like in banks) to Que up customers. Often they start pulling people in line for "Pick-Up" only, causing people to logically want to form another line for pick-up, only to be told to stay in a single line. This causes frustration and the feeling of being in an episode of Seinfeld "No Soup for You!". It's unorganized. Please, please allow a budget for more employees at this Post Office and a better line-up system.

Well. Lots of complaining but how about recognizing that these people have been cut cut cut. Do more do more do more faster faster faster. They have been great to me in the over 30 years I have been going there almost daily. They need another counter person for the hours of Passport applications and someone to always just take pickups and I've noticed that they have been doing that lately and that speeds up the line. In the 34 years I've been going there, They have never been rude. Not once. They always have a smile for me as well. So if you want to help, request a staff increase for the Palmer Post office. Pass port applications are only going to increase and that is going to really slow down the line again.

The Palmer Post Office is to say the least, inefficient. The delivery service is awful. Whoever sorts the mail cannot tell one street from another, and I continue to receive mail addressed to people on another street who have the same house number as mine. I am sure that is where my missing mail goes. I have now been forced by this mess to set up online billing from Enstar, my credit cards and my bank. It is really frustrating. Next step will be the phone bill and the electric bill. Missing packages, delayed shipments, you name it. No wonder people use Fedex and UPS.

So many comments about the USPS and their poor service due to big government cutback. We should all rise up and contact our Congressional representatives and demand, DEMAND!, that they increase the amount of taxpayer money they receive. Heck, while they're at it could we maybe bring back the Postal Service Office, it had much better bureaucracy than this new fangled United States Postal Service...) Please ignore the fact that they don't receive any taxpayer dollars and haven't since around 1983...

I use Palmer post office and never had a problem. I need help and they do what they can. Everyone else who comes on here to complain. This ain't the place to do it cause they don't get your comments from here. And another thing try filling their shoes if you gave a problem our government is making the problem with cut backs. As far as lost mail, it happens. They send millions of peacies of mail a day, you try to keep track of it all. And one more thing if you complain about the driver not going to your door instead of putting a notice in your box your an idiot. They have scheduales to keep. Ok I'm done. Thank you to all the post office carries and clerks for all your services. Keep up the good work.

The only way to get assistance is I have to drive to the post office, wait in line, and then try to get help with a package they seem to have lost. Calling is a joke. Staff are entrenched and don't care about service. No one answers the phone.....EVER! So in order to find out what can be done about a lost package I have to go to them because they can't help me any other way. The national telephone "service" is just as bad! Federal government at its worst...and we pay for it!!!

complaints are a dime a dozen. I was happy to say my call was answered and my problem resolved. Thank you for doing the best you can due to all the cutbacks and lack of much needed help with those b****y crappy lines that need to realize you are doing the best you can due to our government changes. Now there is where you unhappy people need to go for some type of resolution. They (your congress) made your nightmare not the hard working employees that were left picking up the daily complaining we all do. Thank you thank you thank you postal employees for all you do!!!!!!

A few years ago I contacted the post master in the Palmer post office and it was not a pleasant experience. My packages were being sent by vendors and then would just disappear when out for delivery. The post master refused to help, stating that we are on a rural route and the delivery people bid for these routes and are not postal employees. Then to take it one step further that individual skimmed half the profit and subcontracted to another person that was delivering my packages to God only knows where. My only recourse was to contact my bank as these were credit card purchases. What ever happened to the sanctity of the US Federal mail! Then my vendors thought I might be the problem so they sent everything signed receipt, only the contractor still signs the slips as delivered. As of this date there apparently is no requirement to read or count to be able to deliver on these rural routes. We are tired of having to drive around the neighbor hood to deliver a portion of the mail daily.

I actually started reading the complaints when I just came to this site to get the Palmer Post Office number. I would like to say though, that the Mail Depot on Bogard road (in the strip mall where Little Millers is, at the four way stop signs) never has a line and the mailbox rentals are cheaper than the post office or UPS store. Try them out sometime, like a diamond in the rough since people don't really know they are there!

The mail carrier never attempts to deliver our packages despite checking that box on the pick up slip, which would really save a lot of time and lighten the load of the post office lobby. The line is absolutely ridiculous and the employees are unprofessional, while not completing their jobs. You may have a slip stating your package is ready for pick up, however that does not guarantee they will be able to find it or be able to give you a time to return for your mail that is lost somewhere in that abyss, which is borderline illegal. Time sensitive documents and packages cannot be withheld.

Terrible management at the post office. Only 1 or 2 people at the counters and never see the side door for package pick up open. They never fill the counters with enough competent people to thin the line. It seems like a lot of employees over there are no longer working for their paycheck. Did anyone notice the fathers day sign still hanging on the wall in October. If we had to pick numbers for waiting, I'm sure the numbers would be scalped for a fine price.

I have a PO Box at the Palmer location. Recently had a package delivered, I was monitoring tracking and it had displayed ready for pickup. Went to the location for pickup, checked my po box and nothing there. Waited in the pathetic line to speak to the crotchedy clerk. I told the clerk tracking says package is ready for pickup but nothing is in my PO Box. Well he looked at me with annoyance and said we only have two people working today. It is a Saturday at about 930 am. They close at 1230 pm this day, so I then ask would I be able to pick up the item at about closing. His reply "doubtfull". So I go back at about 2pm thinking maybe they dropped a key in the box so i could get my package. Well they conveniently put a hand written note that i have a package available for pickup. But to late now, they are closed and now I have to wait til Monday to pick it up. I am very annoyed by this and just wanted to share my experience.
