HI- I just called the Skaneateles Post Office today asking them to hold my mail. They told me I had to do it online. Well, there is no form online, so my husband has to go down there in person. Please update your website. Thanks.

The postal service as it exists should be disbanded. On Dec 4, I mailed 3 packages. The one to CT was delivered on Dec 29. One to NC was delivered on March 8 and another to NC is still in transit. On Dec 17, after I filed a complaint, I received an email from Brent Zira telling me I could get my packages back and take them to another carrier ONLY AFTER I PAID FOR HAVING THEM SHIPPED BACK TO ME. I paid to have them delivered; the post office refused to deliver them and then wanted to charge me to get them back. The postal service is egregious. And, on Dec21, we sent a package by UPS and it was delivered in 3 days. Guess who has the better service.

I am so disappointed in the usps and the inefficiency that shows up for retirees who who live in two different places. We follow the directions as provided and our mail does not show up in a timely fashion. I have had important documents necessary for medical and financial issues held somewhere. As a former government official I find this unacceptable and ask that this be corrected. I choose not to threaten talking to my Congressman or Senator. I just ask that this issue be corrected. Thanks for your attention to this important matter.

There should be an online hold mail form.
