The Postmaster and her staff are always courteous, professional, and informative. I've always had a good experience there.

I went in to hand over some mail that wouldn't fit into the box outside and neither of the 2 women working there were wearing their masks! made me feel unsafe after i went in - aren't they required to wear masks while working inside there?

The other day while I was sitting in my car a Shokan postal employee approached my car and knocked on the window I proceeded to roll down my window and this employee accused me of casing out the place. I then explained to the employee that I was playing an online game (Pokémon go). He then explained to me that he is “trained” to pick up on suspicious activity. This was all during business hours. He explained how he has noticed my car before from the other night. I am local and have lived here for over 30 years. I shop at dollar general and the olive country store. I find this employees actions to be extremely unprofessional and disrespectful and honestly disgusting. If you are in belief of any dangerous vehicle or suspicious vehicle I believe that the proper protocol is to notify police and not to take it amongst oneself to investigate the vehicle. I am honestly a palled that this employee would accuse me of illegal activity and not even apologize after I’ve explained the circumstances to him. My grandmother was a post master and she would’ve never advised anyone to approach a believed to be suspicious vehicle. This is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful behavior of this employee. I did not get his name but he was a tall heavier set man with a reddish blonde beard who drives a Subaru Wrx. I just wish that employees were actually trained to follow basic protocol and not take it amongst themselves to possibly put themselves in a dangerous situation.
