There are a few people who I can honestly say keep me safe at all time. The people at the post office. In the front lines. Doing a difficult job in very difficult times. As always, thank you. THANK YOU.

For some reason, it is too difficult for the carrier to deliver the weekly flyers from local area stores every Thursday or Friday. They are delivered about twice a month on average, instead of weekly as they always used to be. I look forward to reviewing the flyers, but I guess it's too much to hope for during these difficult times.

Lived here 26 years. Fishkill USPS is pretty awful. They constantly mis-deliver mail; then always tell me that it’s a sub,...except- we’ve had the same sub for years. The other stunt is when they fail to deliver pkgs., they mark your pkg as, “ Held at the PO, at the customers request.” I was told that is done to “stop the clock on pkg transit times” except that screws the customer should something go wrong. On top, it’s just a lie when the customer never authorized the hold. What’s your recourse from where you purchased it if the USPS now says that you failed to pick up and it “gets lost?” Really bad. We’re just hostages to inept, CYA business protocols that serve them and not us. Gotta be a way around paying for S*#t service.

I just wanted to express how disappointed with the new employees at Fishkill post office. I have been coming here for years and never had a problem picking up a package if it was there. I received a notification today that my package had arrived at the Fishkill post office but would not arrive to my house until tomorrow. Because of where I live it’s not really safe to leave packages outside and I will not be home tomorrow, so I asked if I could pick it up today. I was told by the man at the front counter in the post office that it was not his job to go through the packages and that I would just have to wait till tomorrow. Any other time that I’ve come here in the past 15 years and asked the same question I was given my package no problem this was very disappointing, lazy and unprofessional in my opinion.

Had a special graduation card I sent through Fishkill returned to me, marked as “no such number.” Called to clarify and was told that “carrier would need to respond,” by both clerk(s) and the Postmistress. (3x) No return calls. Phone not answered yesterday and today. How disappointing in their service. Now, I need another special envelope with postage and will try again, hoping that whatever the problem is - knowing that I print in clear script and it is the correct address - will be handled by the carrier. It’s the two minute return phone call and answering your phone that makes the difference in customer service and the desire to give business to the USPS.

Then who reads the reviews? The postmaster? Within the past three weeks other people have received some of my mail and I have received some of their mail. And don't tell me a sub was on those days. This is on ongoing problem with this office. For years.

Calling Fishkill post office--- no answer.. USPS use customer service and technology to regain customers. POST on web for example what boxes you do have available...cost..PO Box numbers...really annoying to keep calling and get nothing...

Can't get address right...even though I have a PO Box!! Lost packages. Returned mail to sender instead of putting it in my box. Doors are never open until 6pm to collect my mail. They really should change the hours on the website so more people don't waste their time going just to find the door locked. Very frustrating.

This is the second time our mail was opened, my child has a pen pal who sent her a small shopkin in envelope and it was stolen out of the card. You can never reach the post office by phone bc it is always busy and we are still getting mail from 3 different previous owners after complaint twice. Get it together Fishkill.

This post office is awful. The employees are rude. Our mail carrier is completely useless, unreliable and a liar to boot. She hangs packages on the side of the mailbox in plastic bags in snow storms, or balances them on top of the mailbox, or delivers to the wrong house. I consistently receive mail for other people. In the 10 years I've lived here I've had nothing but disappointment and problems with this post office. If you need something shipped use fed-ex or ups, I know I will.

Fishkill Post Office does not have all the priority prepaid boxes that are available.. A postal employee that works the front desk in Fishkill, a woman with blonde hair, gets very annoyed if a customer inquires about the availability of a box size that is not on the box shelves. Asking for tape, which the USPS used to supply free for priority packages, REALLY annoys  and she stage whispers to a coworker "Can you believe she's asking for tape?".
The boxes can be ordered for free through the usps.com web site and they will pick up the package for free. This is great service that saves a trip to the post office and saves the public from dealing with a miserable employee.

How hard is it to put mail in a box? They're absolutely nothing special, lazy and dumb. Many of these employees are mentally disturbed. It's a pay check! No Brains! a duh.
