My packages from Amazon were not delivered 7/3/23 as it says I requested to pick them up at the USPS in Shell Knob, Mo. That is not true. I have never made such a request in my life! I will drive into Shell Knob tomorrow 7/7/23 and pick them up …..but I think something is fishy about this.

The local Shell Knob, MO office refuses to deliver packages. If the package fits in my mailbox, that is the only time they will deliver them. I have filled out and submitted multiple "Rural Customer Delivery Instructions" forms instructing the carrier to deliver packages that don't fit in the mailbox to be left on my porch. I understand that if the package is stolen or damaged it is my responsibility. That is why I filled the form out in the first place, so I would not have to drive to the postal office to pick up my packages. When I ask why they continue not to deliver my parcels after I have instructed them to do so, it is met with empty excuses. I have the simplest home to deliver mail to possible. It is in the back of an unbusy subdivision with wide roads and traffic light. My driveway is only 10 feet long, so the carrier's vehicle will never leave sight. My entire shoulder is graveled, so that they can pull off the road and never put the vehicle into reverse to successfully deliver and leave the premises. There is nothing more I can do, there is no logical answer that would explain why packages cannot be delivered here. I do not have a dog outside. My front porch is covered. My Driveway is one car's length. The driver does not have to pull into my driveway to get off the road, so reverse will not be used. I ordered a parcel box and the mailwoman instructed me that they don't put items into parcel boxes. Again, their first excuse is that the item may be stolen. And again, when I filled out the "Rural Customer Delivery Instructions" form, it states, "When parcels are left in one of the above checked locations, I understand that the Postal Service and the carrier are not responsible in case of loss or damage." I am taking all liability and this post office continues to fail to do its job. I thank you in advance for helping to resolve this problem.
