On Saturday, Dec. 16 we did not receive our Springfield newspaper in the mail. I talked to the mail carrier and he said he didn't have any mail for us. I figured that it must have gotten lost, but I called the post office and spoke to a young man and told him that we didn't receive our newspaper. He took the time to go check to see if it had just been overlooked. However he didn't find one. So I thought maybe Springfield just overlooked us. I thanked him for looking for it. In the afternoon, A young man in a silver SUV brought me the newspaper. He took the time to find out where the paper was. I didn't get his name, but I would like his supervisor to know that he went above and beyond what was expected of him. I just wanted to let his supervisor how much it meant to me to see that there is still good, conscienstious workers there. Again, I thank him very much! Merry Christmas!

This post office is not great. Mail will either not be delivered or is forwarded to random addresses.

This post office repeatedly and willfully does not scan my boxes and packages, they have sent tons of my packages to my boutiques return address in Lee Summit to that address instead of to the people The packages were addressed to, I lost hundreds of dollars on those sales because didn't feel like sending them out to the individual people they were addressed to. I call them a few times at 3:30 and the phone will just ring and ring and ring and ring I guess they think because it's almost time to go home they don't have to answer the phone. One of the women that work there is so rude that when I have time I go to the next town over to send out my packages I have hemorrhage money by using this post office for my boutique last week they let tube of my packages that I mailed three weeks ago sit there until just this week we track them down and they were still there! Nothing wrong with the address or the shipping label or anything I only use priority mail on all of my packages. This post needs to be watched and inspected, this is unacceptable service I have sent him on more than one occasion several priority mail envelopes with retail in them they will scan only A few or it seems like every other one of them to cut their work in half. I called today to check on a package that I mailed directly in person on Tuesday that still has not been scanned, I have to repeatedly call and find out where things are my customers expect their priority mail to be within a few days and they are just not getting it and I'm not exaggerating, another thing is I will have mail arrive to their checkpoint, priority mail mind you and I on a regular basis have to wait two or three days to get my priority mail even though I know it's sitting there at that post office, I almost feel like I should get free coupons or something as a reimbursement for all the time and money I have lost on this particular post office that I am just not going to use anymore. The post office in the town called Miller has very similar service but not as bad they do way to scan priority mail the day after you mail it to them in person even though it's way before noon. I want to know what is going to be done about this as a taxpayer I think I have a right to know.
