I was expecting a package that needed a confirmed signature. I watched the mailman pull up and as he did I got a notice it was delivered. I ran outside as no one had come to our door. I asked him about the package! Lie 1: He said he never delivered my package nor any packages that day. Lie 2: He proceeded to back up and check previous mailboxes and told me sorry no package. Lie 3: He got out of his truck and checked front , sides and back looking for my package… no package. At this point I was very frustrated. This was an important package that we had been waiting for. Still he insisted he never saw the package. I then pulled up the delivery confirmation and it said it had been delivered and signed by my neighbor. Lie 4: He said he never delivered it I ran to my neighbors house but no one was home. So who signed for it. At this point I knew he lied to me. I told him I wanted to see inside my neighbors mail box. He ran to the box protecting it and I warned him I would call the postmaster if he didn’t open it. Lie 5: He insisted again there was no package. But when I started to open it he decided to open it and there lay a package with my name on it. I asked who signed for it and instead of answering he ran for his truck and said he must be dyslexic. Well 15 mins later I got a confirmation of delivery which had 3 straight lines as delivery signature. Lie 6: He signed the delivery confirmation but never came to our door. He thought he would get away with it and so the lies began. The next day I went to the Forest Lake Post Office and explained what happened. The gentleman checked the delivery confirmation and said it should never have happened. Postmen are not allowed to sign when delivering a package with signature. (Duh… why would you send a package delivery with signature confirmation if your mailman can sign for it) He assured me that the postmaster would call me the next day. Crickets!!!! The lying postman was in his 20’s blondish brown hair (short) and about 5’9. We live on the West side of Hwy 35 and South of Broadway. I always had a lot of trust in the post office but I now have a new view. As in most service jobs they don’t seem to care… so beware if he is your postman also. NO apology ever was given from him or the post office. He delivered lie after lie but no package.

I have had issues with my mail carrier not delivering my packages for the last 2 months. She claims that my do bite her and broke skin on her foot. I went to talk to my local post office to get this issue resolved however nothing has been done. There was not report filed that my dog bit her. She only notified me on a facebook post. She wont deliver my packages even when my dogs are locked inside my house. I am beyond frustrated that I have been cut off my my packages because she made a false statement and refuses to even attempt to deliver my packages.

I got notified that I had package in route this morning. It is now 930pm and it still hasn’t arrived. Last month I had to reorder a credit card because it never made it to my residence in the 4300 block of 250th st in forest lake. What is the deal? I have a hard time believing that they are still out here with my mail.

Forest Lake Post office is the worst service ever!! Our driver doesn’t deliver our mail, delivers others mail or doesn’t deliver and we get notifications that there was an issue with delivery IE: front door or driveway was inaccessible. Well… I was outside today and saw the mailman deliver to the mailbox and drive away and there was NO front door or driveway obstructions. Don’t even try calling FL post office, because they won’t answer. Horrible service !

Agreed. We have missed several Christmas presents over the past few years because our carrier is to lazy to come down our 200’ driveway and reports our front door as ‘inaccessible’. Beyond that I’ve found my mail in the ditch on more than one occasion because he is to lazy to properly close the door on our box. And yes, they do not answer the phone, it just rings until you get a busied out signal after about 5 min.

Today my $600 govt. check was being delivered, guess what It WASN't. Iget my neighbors check and some of his tax info. This happens all the f'n time. Why is nobody answering the phone at 3:15. New resident to Forest Lake as of 10/26. I don't write negative reviews, but I've had enough with this post office already. I consistently get mail for the prior owners. I leave highlighted notes, and list all names residing at my residence on my mailbox for the mail carrier, yet my mailbox is full of mail that's not mine. The carrier won't even take the mail labeled 'return to sender' back to the post office to ensure the mail is returned to the correct person. He just continues to add to the pile every delivery day. Either my carrier cannot read or he's acting maliciously. I don't think the post office hires illiterate people. Please take some pride in your work and show your customers respect.

Forest Lake/Chisago City route. Received notice on Sat 10/20/20 that I was receiving my charge card statement and information on my health insurance that day. The driver raced by our house at 4 in the afternoon and none of it was delivered. Nor was it delivered on Monday. Now sensitive information is floating around because once again these overpaid government workers are not doing their job. All they have to do is match the number on the envelope with the number on the mail box. How hard is that?

Total ignorance of the job!!! I personally put in change address on the 30th of October at the office. Spoke to someone on the 1 of November to check mail was forwarded they told me yes labels were printed yet I packed is sent back over sea’s as no forwarding address. What’s wrong with this picture. Oh but then on the 2nd I get a certified letter I need to sign for. Who is not doing there job. I would like to be set a 97.00 dollar check for the shipping charges. Please respond. Carmen Myslicki

Never fails. This post office is horrible when delivering Parcels, i.e. from Amazon. Every time we have a package coming on a Saturday, it is never delivered and we get an automated message stating the delivery was attempted, but had no access. Well, we live in a NON GATED townhouse community. So everyone's mailbox is at central locations. So the "no access" is a flat out lie. Now if the mailbox is full, we have a front step that neither UPS nor FedEx have zero issues leaving our packages at. Esp. on a Saturday. Now I do not know if FL P.O. is understaffed or if the drivers are just lazy. This happens pretty much every Saturday, and sometimes during the week. I had 3 coming today (10/19/19) but at 2:29 pm, we got the message that there was "no access to delivery location" which, unless there is a forcefield over the townhouse community is virtually impossible. This is extremely frustrating and NEEDS to be corrected, whether it is hiring more drivers, re-training, or hiring drivers that actually do their job. Whatever happened to : "Neither Rain, Nor Sleet, Nor Dark Of Night Shall Stay These Couriers From The Swift Completion Of Their Appointed Rounds."

I mailed 15 packages and it only took 10 minutes! I was there around 3pm and there was no line. I just walked right up to the counter. Dana was super nice and helpful. He found the best price for me and was so kind and polite. The packages were supposed to arrive in 4 days since I chose the cheaper option, but they arrived the next day! Super speedy!! Dana even noticed that I had the wrong zip code on one of my packages and looked up the correct one for me. He said it was no problem! He was so knowledgeable and speedy at his job. Thank you for making this experience enjoyable!

I live on the border of Forest Lake/Chisago. Our driver is awesome. However, her vehicle leaves a trail of oil behind it. I have contacted the Forest Lake Post Office about a month ago. They said they would take care of it. And actually I haven’t noticed big oil spots on my cement driveway until today. We waved at each other as she was getting back in her vehicle after dropping off a package at my door. About an hour later I noticed the big oil spot. And another right near the first fresh one that was probably left the day before. It is ridiculous! You can follow the trail of oil all the way from the street, see where the truck stops and she gets out (about a 8” wide puddle there), then see the trail where she turns around and drives away. I can see many trails from times past and it is damaging my driveway. Even without my call to the office, they MUST know there is an issue. The truck must be filled up with oil daily just to be driven! I tried to use the USPS form to submit this claim. After 3 tries and SUPER frustrated, I gave up and went this route. The site kept getting hung up. Grrrr Down on the road by our mailboxes there is definitely road damage. You can see where the truck pulls out and leaves. Where they stop is a huge oil slick. Please if you are having this same issue, write a review. I would love to make sure this vehicle is taken off our roads (or at least fixed properly). Thank you.

We just moved to the border of Forest Lake/Chisago and have had 3 different deliveries in the past month that has resulted in oil on our driveway. I have filed complaints with USPS and requested that the oil be cleaned up and the vehicle to be fixed. Today I spoke with Randy at the post office again and let him know that it happened again. He said that they put a card in the drivers box (not sure what that means), but it obviously did not work. I asked to speak with postmaster since she did not return my call previously. He told me he would leave her a note. I do not plan to wait for return call, instead I will go there personally to chat with her. I agree with the other person, this is ridiculous and this vehicle should not be on the road or for sure not on my driveway!

The mail delivery lady in Columbus is beyond lazy. I have put up package crammed in my box that I struggled to get out or they are balanced on top for a to see and to take. Now she is trying to say she can deliver package because she can not get to the door or box. Get another job if you don't want to do it. Other people would be happy to have the pay and benifits. Oh and dont try to call the number it is just always a busy singal.

Forest Lake Postal carriers don't know what it means when a flag is up on a mailbox so someone please tell them. They don't deliver if they don't feel like it. They didn't deliver to my neighbor and I for 7 weeks last winter and apparently none today! Get a different job people! BTW they shut their phones so you can't complain. Smart on their end.

To the mail lady that delivers mail in the forest lake/Columbus area, you do not deserve this job as you are lazy. Please treat people's packages as if it were your own. Obviously, you do not want your package to be thrown all over your driveway in the rain and snow. Please deliver people's packages to their front step. IT IS YOUR JOB. If you cannot do that, please look for another job. To USPS in forest lake, MN, please conduct a review of your delivery staff. Thank you. Forest Lake resident.

I move to Forest Lake about 8 months ago and I have never had such awful mail service. I am sick and tired of having packages shoved into my mailbox to the point I can't get them out myself and they are damaged. In addition, we are getting packages that should have been delivered to other people. Makes me wonder how many of my packages have been delivered to the wrong address. That may explain why when I get a notice that a package has been delivered but it is not at my home. This all tells me that the mail carrier is extremely incompetent.

We haven't put outgoing mail in our mailbox for years because of issues.... We constantly get other people's mail. A couple weeks ago we had next door neighbors mail in our box, and a package on our deck from a few houses down the road. Now my wife's Christmas gift shows delivered, usps, but it's not here. You guys would all be fired if in the private sector.

ordered an item thru AMAZON and was told that it wold be delivered by the USPS in Forest Lake - it would have been on a Sunday too, and I got an email saying that the package was "undeliverable" - when I know that people were at the house to receive the mail -- no attempt was made by the mail carrier to even deliver the item (that was a last minute birthday gift). Thanks you very little USPS IN FOREST LAKE!!!!

Looking through the reviews of the Lazy mail lady below, I think we are all talking about the same mail lady that runs the same route in forest lake. She is so lazy that she crams everything including packages into the mailbox with half the mails/packages sticking out. Or she will just throw it on the driveway from the street. By the time you get home from work in the late afternoon/evening, if it rains, there goes all your mails and packages drench in water. This mail lady that runs the forest lake route needs to be fire. She is lazy and would find every excuses to not get out of the vehicle and deliver. To this mail lady, if you value your job, please deliver people's mail properly. Thank you.

Have a car parked almost 10ft from our mailbox. Haven't received mail for 2 weeks, and find out it's because our mailbox is blocked. The car is 10' away! What happens if a neighbor parks in front of our box, no mail that day I guess. Just plain lazy, get out of the car and deliver the mail, it's your job!

I was supposed to recieve 2 packages yesterday. My mailbox is across the street from my house side door/deck door. I was home during the time and recieved two emails: one said could not complete the delivery because the employee did not have access to the delivery location. The other says Delivery of the item could not be completed because the mail receptacle was blocked. Number one, my driveway up to my house door is NOT BLOCKED. Number two, how do you NOT have access to my delivery location. Are the workers just too lazy to walk my packages up to the door being my mailbox is ACROSS my street? My door is literally 25 ft from the street. I am extremely upset that they used two excuses, and lame ones at that. My outside lights were even on so they could see up the driveway, even though there is salt down so there is no ice anyways!
