This has to be worst post office in the country. I have had other peoples mail who live in other states delivered to my mailbox, I have had other people who live miles away from me whom I have never met delivered in my mailbox. When will this stop? Where is the post office hiring all these INCOMPTETENT people from??? I have a package that says it was delivered in the parcel locker, yet when I check my mailbox for the parcel locker key, it wasn't in my mailbox, hence the package was not delivered or has been delivered to the wrong mailbox/address as has happened several times now. I called the post office and cannot get anyone to answer the phone. When I call someone picks up the phone then drops it back on the receiver as if I'm bothering them. Please hire competent people who take pride in their work, and get my package delivered to the correct address for once.

I cannot get a real person on the phone from the Burnsville PO and frankly, that shouldn't be the case. It's not like it's before Christmas. This is February. Things should be back to normal. They should be answering the phone if someone calls.

Can you please get back to me regarding a supposed delivery to BURNSVILLE, MN 55337, Delivered, Front Door/Porch -> Your item was delivered at the front door or porch at 1:37 pm on June 15, 2022. What is the name and address of the person who supposedly received this package? Thank you. Florence

I had a package that has claimed to be delivered on Saturday at 6:15 in my mailbox and it’s not there the package number is LE015170160ca. Refund of $75 because this package was not delivered appropriately. 952 393 7371 . I’ve had things stolen from the post office before and this has to end. I will be calling the Burnsville Police Department

I get consistent and reliable delivery at my home. The carriers are kind and friendly when I see them. The service people at the post office counter are busy (there is always a line), knowledgeable and helpful.

Went to the curb to get my mail directly after delivery. One Mail Box Door was completely broken off. No note of explanation. I have a picture window and I can see the box as long as it is daylight. No one was near the box.

I ask my postman how he could bring me stamps. Next day there was an envelope for ordering them. I bought a roll of stamps with a check on 7/9/20. I really expected them the next day but i haven't recieved them yet and today was 7/21/20. Everything is automated and no human can be reached! How do i find out where my check and or stamps went?

I know the post office like a lot of business is very busy. I have an issue with a piece of mail I received in my mailbox today. In place of my copy of Minnesota Conservation Volunteer maganzine all I had in my mailbox was the mailing cover. I hope someone is enjoying the maganzie I pay for!

Many of the negative comments I see below are complaining about services the Post Office provides that seem to have gotten worse or "slipped" in some fashion lately. As a person who uses the post office for his online business exclusively, and has to work with the post office a lot, I wish to remind everyone that there are CONSEQUENCES when we elect a congress that elects not to fund the post office fully, not to give the money to the post office that the USPS pleads for every year. The pensions at the post office must, by law, be fully funded in a way that no other business demands, and much in the way of more rural service has been shut down over the years because of budget cutbacks to the post office. People seem to be oblivious that you get the service you pay for. We cut the post office short more and more as the years go on and then we are mad when the service obviously gets worse over a period of time. Contact your congressional rep and let THEM know you are mad about the service - - the post office could simply use a healthy increase in the budget, period.

This facility burnsville post office is really bad at getting mail out during normal hours of the day. We get our mail about 7pm or 8 pm which is stupid. Plus there is a post office that is right down the street for the city Savage post office I live in but they do not deliver mail it has to come from the next city over which is stupid. Our city should delivery it's own mail and not be a post office box.

I stopped in today (12/10) to send off a package. The line was long, which can be expected during the holiday season. I was very impressed with how efficient and friendly the staff was. Even though I had to wait in line, I left feeling happy.

We are now at day three of NO mail delivery! Informed Delivery shows several packages and a ton of mail to be delivered. I depend on timely delivery to operate a small mail order business... I can't compete with this terrible service. Carriers or carrier management enter false scans stating "Attempted Delivery" or "Held at Post Office, At Customer Request" in order to avoid negative stats when there was no delivery at all. They evidently will not ask for qualified carrier help from other areas when they claim "employee incompetence" as an excuse. This management is inept!

This post office is horrible! February 6, 2018, we ordered eight glasses. The glasses were ordered online and were to be shipped by FedEx. Once the glasses arrived in Burnsville, FedEx had contracted with the Burnsville post office to deliver the glasses to our apartment. Now mind you, because the box of glasses is too big for the mailbox, the package should be delivered to the clubhouse. The ‘ship to ‘ mailing address had the clubhouse address on it. But, because we neglected to put an apartment # , the glasses never were delivered. Instead of bringing them to the apartment clubhouse like they were supposed to, they just saw that there was no apartment number on the package and so they returned it back to the Burnsville post office, where it sat for more than 60 days. Since we never received the glasses , I called the retail store to inquire about a refund. The retail store informed us that the post office never returned the glasses to their warehouse so we could not get a refund. So here we are, waiting for glasses that will never come and we can’t get a refund because the Burnsville post office doesn’t know where the glasses are. We have physically gone in to the post office on three different occasions to ask where the glasses are and they don’t know. It seems to me that on the day of delivery it was too cold for them to get out of their vehicle and deliver the package properly and so they just kept package. I have personally looked up the tracking of this package and it shows Burnsville was the last one to have it. And now they don’t know where it is. Isn’t that interesting. If my business was delivering packages and yet I have no way to trace where one of those packages was, I think I’d be out of business pretty soon. No wonder companies like UPS, DHL, and FedEx exist. The Burnsville post office sucks!!! Who can I escalate this to? Does anyone know?

Why, does the Burnsville post office deliver items late or after expiration? Happens regularly and we are getting so tired of expired or undelivered items.

I had to re-order a calendar because of damage caused by the carrier stuffing it into my mailbox, which was obviously too small. Thank you to the carrier who delivered the replacement to my door. It also could have very easily been put into the package bin which I have access to. Am also getting a bit annoyed by all the misdirected mail I'm getting. Some have names and addresses which aren't even close, and happen about 2-3 times each month.

Their is a lot of missing packages and they do not follow up on this . We have a post carrier that delivers to savage near the point and she incorrectly deliverys packages missing mail happens on occasion and supervisors have been notified but the issues is not resolved . Supervisors say that thier employer are within union but if someone is constantly missing or misplacing mail , or stealing they should not be protected and the supervisor needs to do thier job. The supervisor have hung up on me because I told them to do their job they are unprofessional and rude. I bet if their mail packages were constantly missing they would be singing another tune . I have gotten other people medical bills and Comcast bill our mail deliver is not capable of delivering mail but they continue to use this mail carrier.

I wish Amazon would use UPS again. I have ordered textbooks through Amazon and b/c they are soft-cover books, the mailman folds/bends the package to stuff it into the mailbox and the books are damaged as a result. It doesn't seem like it would be too difficult to walk a package to someone's door when it's a little bit too big for the mailbox. Granted they don't know what's in the package, but all the more reason for them to consider handling items with care. But this is the gov't, so nothing will change and it's a waste of time trying to call and work with them.

We had two packages on our front step ready to be picked up today - they were not picked up though our mail was delivered. I called the post office to see if someone could come back to pick them up and was told me hold time was 45-60 minutes! Unreal. Horrible service.

Feel in snow covered pot hole. I have complained about many times over the last 9 months. My husband did not see it. He got hurt. PHONE is off the hook DURNING BUSINESSES HOURS, like always. This happened yesterday around 6:30. Now on hold for over a hour to report them to the main office. Not cool. The news going to love this story.

I live in an apartment complex in Burnsville, and when Amazon tries to send packages here on sunday, USPS just drops them off in front of the office and they get stolen. I contacted the Burnsville Post Office about this before, and they said Amazon forced them to do this and they couldn't do anything to change it. A package I was trying to have delivered on Monday decided to change to Sunday, so I called the Burnsville Post Office this morning about it. A man named Rob answered, and I started to explain the situation. He hung up on me before I could finish (It wasn't a dropped call, I could hear the sound of the phone being hung up). I called back, reexplained, and he reluctantly took down my information, before going "I guess we can try to intercept it," and hung up again. I got a feeling this wasn't going to actually happen, I contacted Amazon, and they were able to contact the post office and get the delivery date changed in a minute. Not sure why contacting the post office directly can't accomplish the same thing. That said, I did go to the post office once to get a passport. I didn't realize that you needed to schedule an appointment in advance, but the guy at the counter was really understanding about it and fit me into his busy day anyways. So, it's not all bad there, just don't expect help over the phone.

We live in Savage and since they took away our post office and moved our mail delivery to Burnsville, we don't get mail everyday. Also, when we do get mail, sometimes it's at 1:00 and sometimes 6:00 at night. What a joke Burnsville Service is.

Watch out. The sign for last chance mail collection inside says 5:45 PM weekdays but if you don't get your package in there by 5:40 it just might wait until the next day. It's happened to me twice now - - my cellphone clock goes by satellite time so I guess 5:43 was too late today.

This place is the most poorly managed post office with a high level of disrespectful, rude employees. The men working at the front counter are often yelling at other employees and treat the customers like they are stupid. I have had multiple issues with them miss-handling mail and taking no responsibility. I will hear different stories from different people about what might have happened with my mail or where it might be. When a package went missing, and after dealing with several other employees and insisting to see a manager, the supposed manager was extremely rude and offered no help. It was clear in the way he spoke with me why the entire place is so crappy. I would hate to work for such a vile, petulant man. They need new management and training on customer service. I know it won't make a difference in the grand scheme of things, but I refuse to use this post office again, and will be doing all of my shipping somewhere else. And to be fair, my mail man is a very nice, personable guy. It's the on-premise staff that are terrible. Go to the downtown Lakeville sight if you want to be treated with respect and not worry about important packages disappearing.

Great Service from Alan. A package I was waiting for had originally been sent back to the shipper for insufficient address. It went from Burnsville to Des Moines and then Des Moines sent it back to St. Paul and Burnsville. The second time it reached the Burnsville post office I called and Alan went through all the packages to find it. Very happy!
